That’s not what I see. LHR still only from 1 July (ex DXB)

Bizarrely its only showing availability in Y, so i think it may be a computer gltch. But if you search Y on 1st June there are 3 flights listed, EK1, EK3, EK7

Ah, yes that explains it. Long time ago that I booked in Y. Only Flex+ available too. Must be some sort of 'special flights'. They are indicated as A380 operated whilst I am lead te believe that A380 flights will only be resumed from October (not only to LHR, systemwide).

Where do you guys see this? I cant find this on EF nor on ek.com - availability shows F0 J0 Y0, clearly zeroed out

Tried a dummy booking on emirates.com (I default to /eng/za here in Cape Town). I go as far as selecting the flights, not the 'passengers' page which comes next.

I have stopped my EF subscription for the time being. Things I am interested in change so fast that EF does not appear to keep up.

I've checked using the gds (green screen) i have access to, and it always seems to match EF - can you elaborate? Interested to hear.

Maybe EF have subscription with the GDS? Or have friendly travel agent friend too!

Not necessarily restricted to EK only: I am trying to get a family member from SA to UK asap. When doing some dummy bookings on BA, AF or KL I get results (currently preferring BA as their change process every time the resumption of flights is delayed again is by far the best) on their own websites. But EF gives me zeros for all fare buckets for the same dates. I have no access to a GDS, so can't comment there.

I am a big EF fan. But with my own travel only resuming in 4 - 6 weeks from now, I see little point in keeping it active.
Normally I use it to look for 'I' or 'O' availability on EK and then it enables me to find a flight where I can get my favourite seat(s), depending on whether I travel alone or with the mrs. And then I can set alerts for 'Z' availability where needed.
I fail to understand why people spend hundreds (or more likely thousands) of $$ on an airline ticket and then come here to beg for information which they can get for $9.99 from EF. I quite often still do help (because I'm such a nice guy :D), but when someone asks for a third time I refuse to cooperate. It's so easy to 'switch on and off' on a monthly basis (although mine usually remains switched on) that there is no reason not to take out a subscription. (I have no financial interest in EF)

Have the changes to route frequency / resumption of services that have been announced from 1 July 2020 been implemented across Emirate's systems? I ask because the Wiki and routes online says there will only be 1 flight daily to Male from 1 July 2020 (2 daily from 1 September 2020) but looking at 28 July there are actually two flights on sale EK656 (02:30) and EK652 (09:45). This would seem to contradict the information that Emirates has published. Any ideas?

thanks for letting us know. i do rely on EF extensively, and have benefitted from this greatly before. so much faster to check if availability has changed on EF than logging onto ek.com (or change VPNs and login into my GDS). it could be a distribution issue in your case.

as SA still lockdown and don't have a schedule to fully reopen, may be also need to use the poor ET transit from addis ababa when SA reopen for international flight in May

I personally don't expect our 'lockdown' to reduce to 'level 1' (when International and regional flights will be permitted) before 1 July. And at that time, I expect to be able to travel BA, KL / AF and hopefully EK (as I have several EK tickets 'on hold')
So no need to resort to ET and the ABB transfer to get to Europe....

however ET until now is still one of the most active airline in Africa even around the world under this situation. I agree what you say I also don't want to use ADD for transit even I can tell you I use EK for flying from ADD to JNB for my business. but I think if we limited our choice for the airline this will be make our way back home really hard
