Does anyone know if the DXB-CAN flight is operating in August? On the Emirates website it doesn’t show any availability.

thanks for the report! how's the catering in J, any idea? Similar than before, just served in one go?
I never eat onboard, just had a salad and garlic bread today. so cant comment much but usually you can request a bespoke salad and pick specific ingredients, this is no longer on the menu. Salad offered was the same side salad as in J. Garlic bread is packed individually... and didnt have garlic inside. All meals were served from a tray. In June I was in Y so I cant compare if this has changed. Dont drink alcohol so can't comment on that either sorry |

I ve also not heard anything about a required NOC, neither has my company (large MNC) . Any link ?
I guess if you already applied and got approved you're good? |
OK thanks. Yes I got the GDRFA approval already. BTW is there a possibility to do the Corona test for departing passangers at DXB? I plan to use the DHA Drive-Thru test facility but if it's possible to do it directly at the airport then I'd prefer that.
|
There was no such possibility at DXB. But unless it's a requirement for your destination country, why bother?
|
OK then drive-thru...The thing is that with a negative test result I don't need to self quarantine for 14 days at my destination (Germany). Wife and daughter did the same few weeks ago and sent the result to the local health authorities and got the confirmation that there's no need for quarantine.

A simpler message
"International tourists flying to Dubai must ensure they meet all requirements for entry to the UAE.They must download the Covid-19 DXB app and register their details and fill in the Health Declaration Form. They must have valid health insurance. Tourist must undergo a PCR Covid-19 test with a maximum validity of four days ahead of departure. They will be required to show proof of not being infected with the virus on arrival at Dubai airports. If they cannot provide proof, they will undergo a PCR test at the airport. "All arrivals will be subject to thermal screenings. If a traveller is suspected to have Covid-19 symptoms, Dubai airports have the right to re-test to ensure the tourist is free of the virus," the committee stated." On another note the DXB Covid app needs you to have a Dubai Number, wont allow registration otherwise I have departed from JFK this past week as tourist to DXB without the PCR test. At JFK check in, everyone was required to submit the Health Declaration Form to check in agent. In flight just before landing, the cabin crew will distribute another COVID-19 form, I do not recall if it was the same form that was submitted to gate agent at check in at JFK. Arrived to DXB, there are COVID 19 registration desks set up in front of immigration. At registration desk the staff will ask for your passport or UAE resident card, telephone # , flight #, etc and will hand you a test bag then you'll proceed to immigration officer. After Customs clearance, you get in line for the COVID 19 swab test. As you exit the testing area, submit the form to the exit agent that you received from cabin crew and completed then proceed to collect your luggage. There is no fee collected for COVID-19 test at DXB airport. Testing Staff advised testing result should be ready by 72 hours. As a tourist, is required to self quarantine until the test results is released. I had downloaded the DXB covid 19 smart app and inquired aiport staff about not having UAE telephone #. Well, I got the merry go around, one suggested I utilize a friend/relative telephone #. The other suggested to write on the form that I do not have UAE # and advise I prefer results to be emailed. Then finally a staff member gave a print out of how to obtain test results. The test result can be obtain at the DHA website, you'll need to download the app . Click on "traveler" and enter your date of birth and passport #. |
