Sorry for delay.

The current FCL B menu. Should be same in A. C gates usually have more restricted menu.

For those who care about such things, the chefs know how to do a rare (as opposed to medium-rare) tenderloin.

Yes, got the same word on Opus. The Brunello is a pretty fine substitute, at least we really enjoyed it. Retails for about $100 with scores of around 97-98 by most. One of the lighter brunellos I've had and very happy to have it at the lounge.

Found this gem hiding near the small bar area at the end of the A first class lounge near one of the gates. 2nd growth and one of the better of I may say so. Enjoyed the rest of the bottle, about three glasses.

Retailing around $300. Drinking just about perfect and is probably the best Bordeaux I've ever had. Although it's a tough call with the 2008 Chateau d'yquem their serving now, that stuff is truly nectar of the gods.

I believe it is farewell to the 2008 Dom Perignon in F. It looks like it has been replaced with 2012 Dom.
Here is a quote from TheBuyer in an article entitled: Why the new Dom Prignon 2012 is a classic vintage in every sense
"“On the palate it is quite clear there is one word – energy. The attack is rounder, welcoming but very quickly it is starting to vibrate and then explodes in your mouth with a surge of effervescence and tonicity. Focused by acidic and bitter notes, the finish brings a penetrating tautness marked by ginger, tobacco and toasted accents.”

Technical details:
Pinot Noir 51 % / Chardonnay 49%

The article link is:
Dom Prignon 2012: is this new vintage worth buying?

I will be happy to taste on my flight from IAD to DXB in F in May!

Yes it seems all my upcoming flights in F over next 2-3 weeks list Dom 2012. Interested to try it out.

On another note, the reds listed for next few weeks are uninspiring. Nothing quite as fantastic as the Opus One i had on DXB-DUB back in Feb.

I agree that the wines have been uninspiring at present and certainly not Emirates Vintage Collection comparable

Yes, is really not the best, have almost exactly the same selection on my London flight later today. My BKK flight this morning is showing a Chateau Montrose and a DYquem so a bit better. I get the feeling EK has reasoned flights to the US and Europe are so full they dont need to care about the wine list

The Dom Prignon 2012 is nice but a bit lacking in body to me.

Just looked at the F wine list for my flight EK762 today. Looks pretty good - including a red from the Vintage Collection!

Due to the technical stop in Durban, itll be an 11:00hrs flight - so 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 the online wine list isnt just a fake

Not too bad. Just one white Gran Cru missing that was on the online list.

Just wait and see though. The wine list for my flight changed about a million times, just as often as the flights actual departure time ex JNB
