Impressive
‼️ quite impressive! Did you get a sense for how many bottles of the white burgundy they had available? (Curious if the upper high end wines tend to appear by the single bottle or if there are multiple bottles typically)

Has anybody else been experiencing an unusual amount of tainted bottles onboard recently? Around mid March I first came across a bottle of P2 and one of Latour Corton-Charlemagne that had gone bad. I am not a wine professional, but based on my experience it seemed due to overheating - they tasted oxidised and sour. I didn't think much of it, until this started to become a regular occurrence. I've done 18 or so sectors in the past 3 months, and I am afraid to say that a staggering half of the bottles of white were gone: again a bottle of P2 back in late March, then a couple of Latour Corton-Charlemagne, probably two or three of Cos D'Estournel Blanc, and several of Domaine De Chevalier Blanc. No issues with reds. It breaks my heart to throw away good wine, but the bottles I got served were just undrinkable. Even more worryingly, other passengers were actually drinking them, but that doesn't overly surprise me...
This got me wondering whether I was just very unlucky (entirely possible), or if EK has been having some sort of storage issue (perhaps during the pandemic?). Just curiosity really, as in every instance the crew was more than happy to open another bottle (which in most cases except two instances was fine).

Only 1 bar seemed to have the chevalier. There was plenty of Meursault 1er Cru Blagny floating around multiple other areas though.

That was the same as my last night. The full menu gradually appeared closer to the flight date.

Ok, we are dealing with an absolute disaster in the wine department...
From what I can see and based on my recent flights in F... EK have officially ditched Chateau d'Yquem and replaced it with Chteau Suduiraut.
However I have seen one thing that I am very excited about and that is the addition of Chteau Smith Haut Lafitte blanc 2013 to the wine lists to Europe and America's routes which is amazing!

Some stunning wines appeared recently:
- 2010 Imeneus, Fattorie Dei Dolfi on the MXP route. Extremely hard to find and a real treat (Le Clos have limited stock). Id argue that it seems to be at its peak. What a wine. Definitely more than one bottle onboard (dont ask how I know).
- 2013 Hommage a Jacques Perrin, Chateau de Beaucastel on the London routes. Luscious, really outstanding.
