Opus One in First is really nice. Does anyone know if it will run through the summer? The press release mentions its through June but on Emirates site wine list by route shows Opus all throughout the summer. Not sure how accurate that is...

Wine amateur here - prefer bubbles and white usually but open to suggestions. Have previously sampled Hennessey Paradis and liked that too. I have UK - DXB - Australia return in F coming up later this month/ back early July - what should I be looking to try when I'm in the lounge and in the air?

Bear in mind that sometimes there are very interesting bottles in the lounges, but mostly they are leftovers from the flights so a lot of them can be way past their prime (I.e: may have been open for days).
Overall, Emirates wine program for first class is the best in the skies. Of course there are highs and lows, but the variety and quality is generally outstanding.
Have fun!

Some outstanding bottles currently on the European routes:
- Le Pavillon Ermitage (2016), Chapoutier
- Clos De Tart Grand Cru Monopole (2011)
- Cos DEstournel (2006); has been around for a while, perhaps not outstanding but always solid
I find it interesting to observe how the quality shifts from region to region (route wise): a couple of months ago the UK routes had solid choices but nothing particularly exciting, whereas certain Asia routes had some very special bottles. Now it is the other way around. Keeps it interesting!!

More seriously, since it’s not an LVMH placement wine, I wouldn’t expect it to be on for more than 1-2 months.

You will have it. I had it recently and it was fantastic (I'm into wines, not labels; 2008 is one of the best vintages for Champagne in the last couple of decades and the rose is breathtaking). Enjoy!
