Much to my surprise, on my last two sectors (different routes, into DXB) they ran out of Dom P2 after the first glass. The apologetic crew said that they only had one bottle loaded, and were not quite sure as to whether few bottles were loaded to begin with, or if the crew on the outbound depleted the stock.
This is quite interesting, as it is the very first time - ever - that I experience EK running out of a particular wine. For context, I must have flown hundreds of sectors in F over the years. I hope it's just a coincidence and not a change in the way they manage stock and inventory.

They ran out of the DP Rose 2008 on a 777 earlier this year (after a fair share of glasses to be fair), but never had the issue on A380s so I wonder whether they load much more conservatively on 777s.

Interesting. I'm guessing you wouldn't know what the pax loads were like on the inbound?
Seems pretty unlucky, but perhaps not crazy that a daytime flight full of pax who lean more towards Champagne than average would lead to this. Of course you'd hope Emirates would have some rules in place to make sure there's stock for the return...
Then again, I'm flying EK F in a couple days so maybe I'm just projecting what I hope is the case.

If you were on EK6 last week, I apologise for drinking probably a bottle and a half myself on EK5...
I had a flight where they ran out of DP Rose shortly after take off when they were serving it last year, but haven't had one this year yet.

They served P2 to me on the ground in DXB on the way to IAD. They didn't run out, despite a pretty full cabin. I think I probably had ~4 glasses and my wife ~2 - so that's one bottle done. I saw another passenger take at least a couple of glasses, so my best guess is 2-3 bottles are loaded. FWIW I didn't love the '04 P2 and was perfectly happy with the regular '15, though of course '08 or '12 would have been preferred...
JFK is showing '03 Mouton and Sassicaia '14 in February. I have found Sassicaia in the lounge, I have not found Mouton - but I have heard of people that have.

Truly a stunning wine list ex-US at the moment. The Opus is definitely the easier wine to drink with limited decanting, but the Mouton opens up after a while. Both wines were stunning after a 3 hour decant, accomplished by heading to the bar and going through the stock of P2 in the meantime.

P2 did run out eventually, but not until after taking good advantage if it. Mrs SEA737 and I had at least a bottle and a half of it. Cabin was 11/14 so not lightly loaded, but inbound was probably 6/14 when I checked. Didnt really see who else was drinking it since we mostly had it at the bar, but Id guess at least 3 bottles loaded, probably more.
