Regardless of your arrival or departure concourse, I would just head to the A FCL which is so much better than B or C. The A FCL typically has a much better selection of wines. There are two Cigar Lounges in the A FCL, although I have no experience, have to think that cigars are available.

Completely agree with the superior quality of the concourse A lounge. However, I must say that I haven't consistently found "a much better selection of wines" there versus B or C; special bottles appear and disappear in any of the concourses, without any particular logic. I would say it's random. Cuban cigars used to be available for purchase (at relatively decent prices) in the smoking lounges. They disappeared a few years ago. So, onenation1994a if you want to have a smoke bring your own (the selection at DXB duty free has also been poor lately, and prices keep being adjusted upwards, to the point that it's no longer worth buying there).

Had some lovely wines yesterday from PEK to DXB. Especially the Ares Two Hands was lovely if way too young still (2019). The 2011 Lagrange was austere was enjoyable. The Louis Jadot Chassagne-Montrachet Les Genevottes 2015 felt like a buttery Cali Chardonnay although was enjoyable.

Doesnt appear to be anything too interesting on the online wine menu DBX to LAX next week. First time flying this route. How likely are they to make it more interesting before the flight?

Solaia ex-US these days.
I'm a bit upset at myself that I'm debating between SQ and EK for an upcoming trip. Yes, EK has better wines even now, but I'm afraid it'll be hard to ignore that it isn't Mouton and it isn't a P2.

P2 was available throughout the entire flight JFK-DXB yesterday. Even had it offered for my 2nd glass of PDB as they ran out of chilled 2015, and they apologized saying they can offer the P2 instead. Talk about great service!
No clue how many bottles were loaded, but when I had another glass shortly before landing, a fresh bottle was popped.
