Thanks for the tip on A…I was connecting out of C but decided to try the A lounge…bartender tipped me off that they were getting a new batch of wine…shortly after a bottle and a half of Mouton two of us polished off

Any recent feedback on the 2006 Chateau Angelus? Looks like it'll be on my upcoming MXPJKFK.

I've never quite understood the Vivino ratings.

If I had a 4.6 rating on Uber, I'd never get a ride!!

EK doesn't disappoint. A few days ago, the 2004 Mouton was excellent after a few hours in the decanter.

Im new to EK with my first business flight with them since 1996 in three weeks time. Browsing through this thread there appears to be some very good, nay, exceptional, wines routinely available in F lounges. Do these wines appear in the J lounges at airports that have F passengers but with no separate F lounge?

Specifically thinking about BKK and HKG.

No. Those lounges will have J caliber wines, if that.

TBH these J caliber wines are still very high quality, and can be compared to most other airlines First class offerings (SQ Im looking at you)

I think BA won this particular competition a few years ago with a New Zealand sauvignon blanc that was generally available in the UK supermarkets for about 7.00!
