Mouton at FCL B at 8am this morning. There even was a second bottle on reserve, still some left!
Even better on the ground. Give it a 45m decant if you can. Yum.

Sorry to see the Opus One will no longer be on my flight in February, hope there's a bottle hanging around the lounge. However the P2 and Mouton Rothschild will still be available. Shall follow recommendations and ask for the Mouton to be decanted as early as possible.

P2 was available almost the entire flight on EK202 JFK-DXB last night with a full cabin. They only ran out about 1hr before landing.
I did a side by side taste test of the 2015 vs P2 and honestly I really dont know what I prefer. Perhaps it was the temperature but the 2015 had more of a kick while the P2 was a little more subdued/maybe sweeter?
Im no sommelier though. Krug is still my preferred champagne

Mouton 2003 at the FCL C this morning they had 2 opened bottles in the fridge. Probably will only be one left by the time I leave 😂. Quite a treck to get there but worth it, and I have been the only one in the lounge for the last 30 minutes or so!
nothing outstanding at the FCL B except the normal EU F routing offering and havent tried the FCL A yet. Will go there in about half an hour since my flight leaves from A.

According to some on the BA forum, EK only do "bling" wines in F, rather than good wines.

They obviously prefer the Blue Nun or whatever the latest "enhanced" F wine is on BA.
I'll be searching out Le Clos tomorrow to ensure they're not stocking any of that Pharoahmoans swill.

EK just added the 2011 Araujo Eisele to ORD-DXB. So now I have the Mouton, Opus One and this to keep me busy. Hoping for very strong headwinds.

Well, more for the rest of us who have to slum it drinking these average wines...
On a more serious note, and I think going through the rest of this thread from inception, there is clearly thought into the list at all levels, even Y. Sure, there is a skew towards marquee (can't be helped given LVMH airlines), but the fact there's often 6 different wines loaded including in J with some interesting (if not completely outre) picks alone shows a dedication beyond every other airline out there. That the choices are usually well made, is probably a bonus!

FCL A also had 2 bottles of Mouton, and one of Opus. 1 Mouton and the Opus were in the bar inside the smoking area, the other Mouton was by the bar at the end of the lounge. Was able to do a comparison test of the two and my personal preference goes to the bordeaux.

Early January flight, preview showed that P2 will be served but it was not available and, according to the crew, it was "out of stock". P2 was only supposed to be served during November and December so who knows. The 2003 Mouton partially made up for it...
