Look what I found at the "F" section of the lounge at DXB on May 16th- Castillo Ygay- Gran Reserva Especial Cosecha 1986
This wine was simply stunning! It went very well with the Pan-seared prawns. The staff seemed proud of this wine and were quite generous in their pours! I enjoyed the entire bottle!

WOW, I am envious. I am a huge fan of aged Rioja blanco and that wine is indeed a dream. Kudos to whoever curates EK's wines, as aged rioja blanco is not a typical crowd pleaser and thus not an immediate/easy choice.

Anyone else having trouble seeing the food/wine lists for upcoming flights on the website/app? My F wine lists for July flights are currently showing no food and only white wines... always love to play around there before I fly.

Usually the reds and whites appear months before the flight so this is a departure from the norm. Like you, I like to study the selection prior to the flight. I flew F a few weeks ago from IAD to MLE and from MLE to JFK and found the wines to unremarkable with the exception of the Beringer 2014 Private Reserve Cab. Better wines were found in the "F" section of the DXB lounge. I am not complaining as I got to fly the new 777 from DXB to JFK and it was a wonderful experience!

Forgot to add the latest wine choices from last week. I had the left one, was all right. Was going to try the one on the right but ended up enjoying my Evian too much.

The dining menu is displayed around a month prior to the flight.

The Beringer is too powerful and heavy even by my standards on a plane.

Not sure if I can ask here but maybe some of yall know.
does EK generally carry the different champagne glasses for F? I know they usually have nicer more open Champaigns glasses in F, unlike the ones in business that are smaller.
this is what I mean
First class:

business:

however, I see on reviews and stuff that sometimes the FAs serve the Dom in F in the smaller business glassesis that done on purpose or lazy reasons or do they really not carry the nicer glasses as much?
If they do try to use the smaller ones in F, would it be weird to request the nicer glasses or would that be an eyeroll?

Ive seen the smaller J glasses used in F for pre departure drinks, and on very short flights, but its a rarity. Have never been served a small J size glass of Dom P in F on a longhaul route.

I just checked the wine for my flight MXP-JFK in early September, and I don't see Dom listed (and there is no other Champagne listed, though Business Class still lists Veuve Clicquot). Is it safe to say this is just an oversight/glitch and that the presence of Dom is in no way in jeopardy?
