Or, if an EK booking, you can just use the Manage a Booking feature on the website which should come up with the same result as calling. Not sure about travel agent bookings.

Does anyone know why Expertflyer might show D availability (flight ek163) for Syd to DXB on 2 Dec as ‘No’, but when I subscribe to flight alerts it says there are 3 seats available and the Emirates website says the same? Wondering how accurate the award availability search is if it’s not picking up on this...

Is the EK/expertflyer seat map always correct?
It shows wide open availability in Y yet seat map looks almost full. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Define almost full. That availability indicates a minimum of 9 seats for sale. There is nothing to indicate more than 9 are available. Also the lowest fare class available is Q, which is the most expensive Saver fare, so it's not super full but not crazy empty either. J is full, so chances are it's not yet oversold

Looking at the seat map: All F seats are allocated, there are a few (5) J seats still 'open' but they are not selling them. No realistic chance of an op up, I would say.
