Don't forget payload!

FWIW the EK forecasting tool is eerily accurate though - but that doesn't filter down to customer facing information sources (direct or indirect).

Ultimately you're going to be in the hands of the load controller and especially at outstations there are lots of factors that can throw things off.

It's the absolute worst when it's just about 99% forecast load and you know there's some STF but it might go either way...so you grudgingly have to spend miles to guarantee the upgrade :(

I would have to disagree with this due to recent experience. There are too many variables to ever say you will really know how full it is. My last op-up was still showing 25 seats empty in Y when I checked in and Y9 on EF. The flight before that was Y0 from a week out yet I didn’t get an op-up as a plat on a Y flex+.

Yes, always going to be too difficult and seeing the seat map fill up just gives you a bit of hope, as even then there's up to 30 bulkhead/exit seats that may be blocked.

Hi there - not sure if it’s too early but could someone please check the loads for:

EK407
MEL to DXB
5 Jan

EK1
DXB to LHR
6 Jan

Booked as one ticket, QF codes, but keen to see what load is like.

Thanks so much.

Never understood why people call this "loads", it is simply availability. That being said,

I’m fairly sure I’m passed my quota for “should really have my own EF account” but I’d appreciate a look at EK018 MAN->DXB on 5th Jan please.

I’ve just checked in online and saw no seats available to switch to in J so I guess it is full.

I’m Skywards Gold on a J Flex ticket so in upgrade territory.

Thanks

Seat map shows three unallocated J seats (6D, 21 B/D) and one unallocated F seat (4K). You can see that in EF with a free account!

No chance that’s there are no pilots/ Platinum members of golds using miles that won’t take that seat I’m afraid

Can I please get a Y load check:

EK236
14th January
ORD-DXB

If the flight isn't too full in Y, our family of 4 can spread out a little. Thanks so much!
