Can you tell me how you get that info? Is it paid access to something? ExpertFlyer? A friend has a paid subscription and we don't know how to see that.

would not hold my breath at the moment. Only hope is lots of bookings in the next two days. You might get a cash upgrade offer, I know several people who got these in the past few days and J looks like a low load at the moment.

The flight availability feature is actually neither intended nor ‘fit for purpose’ for upgrade availability. And I for one am not going to spend time to fulfill these requests, especially as they tend to disappoint people in the process.
For EK 231 (DXB/IAD) on august 4 at the moment, it shows F4 A4, all this means is thatcher airline will sell at least 4 first class seats in the ‘A’ (flex) fare bucket. Although some flights are more heavily sold that far out, this F4 A4 scenario is ‘normal’ and said little about upgrade availability. The seat map shows that not a single seat in the F cabin has been allocated, which may be interpreted as a good sign for upgrade availability.
