Can you see the fares filed or is that an educated guess?

EF lets you search fares. O Fares are published but only valid from 1 July onwards, see below (in order: H for your dates, O for your dates, O for all dates, checked H for all dates but none published, so no H at all possible on that route right now).

So for H, why isn't the availability just set to zero to present a less misleading picture? I suppose availability algorithms are saying if there was an H fare we should be selling it.

However, the 1st (and other) dates in July availability is still showing O7 H7 but only Business Flex and Flex Plus available on the EK site, so no O Class. What am I missing regards these O results, as things seem to show a fare published and availability?

Min Stay (shows V which I've not seen before, suppose it means variable) and blackout dates which might be in the fare rules. Am on mobile so can't check now.

No idea about H availability. I mean EK probably don't think about retail customers seeing H available and being confused. It's a two-fold control on revenue and possibly independent departments as well. Also H might be available because it's needed for other fare combinations or for just GLA-DXB etc. While married segment logic should be intelligent enough to filter it out perhaps it isn't.

Without starting a new thread had a similar experience to this yesterday. Was trying to book an Economy flex plus ticket and on the particular day I wanted economy saver was sold out, flex plus was sold out but flex was available...? J and F were all sold out, first time I have seen this.

A question for those more knowledgeable / versed in expert flyer.

Am looking at flights to BKK over the next couple of days and the following scenarios are coming up:
1. Flight is zeroed out in Y / 4 seats + multiple ‘paid’ seats showing in the seat map / EK only offering Business class to purchase on their app
2. Flight is showing Y5 E5 R5 W5M5 B5 U0 K0 Q0 L0 T0 V0 X0/ 10 seats + multiple ‘paid’ seats showing in the seat map / EK only offering Business class to purchase on their app

Is there a particular way to decipher availability vs seat map?

I know it was briefly discussed here earlier, but is the assumption that EK will op-up PAX to the extra leg-room seats rather than selling them as standard revenue seats?

The seat map is 100% inaccurate and cannot be relied upon at all. Generally on the above all those flights appear oversold to some degree.

We have no knowledge over which pax will be op-upped other than the existing knowledge that priority is Plats, then Flex Plus sub-ranked by status, then Flex, and so on. I don't know if they just assign the seats randomly or follow an actual priority ranking process for extra legroom seats. I would decline if offered and if moved without being asked I'd make quite a stink. I think those seats suck.

To be fair, 100% isn't right. But relying on it is not a good idea. After OLCI it becomes more accurate, but it's really around 90 mins before departure that you really see what's going on. At T-60 EF no longer can show it and things are pretty final, but in those 30 mins between T-90 and T-60 you can get a really good idea of what's going to happen. Op-ups often happen at exactly T-60 (especially out of DXB), but I've had them as early as 6 hours before (while still enroute to DXB from CPT).

In J and F seat maps are more accurate of course, though with the new H (Special) fares in J they will become less accurate

7 days out from my flight home. More interested in just knowing how full my flight is. Looks pretty full based on seat reservations. As I have no hopes for a last minute upgrade, I'd love to maintain some hope of a seat next to be being empty.
