Information on Load requests
The number of seats for sale for a flight are available via ExpertFlyer.com, a subscription-based service with a 5-day free trial. A subscription is $9.99/month and can be enabled and disabled any time. It is encouraged to subscribe rather than post repeatedly in this thread.
NB: Op-up changes or overselling of a flight cannot be determined with certainty from this information, only inferred to be more or less probable.
For a once-off load request please follow these guidelines:
Flight loads >7 days out are not very useful, as the airline could still sell many seats, unless availability of a specific fare bucket (e.g. Business Saver upgrade) is requested. If you wish to know the general flight load please don't post >7 days before departure.
When requesting a load please provide the following information:
- Date of flight (departure date)
- Flight Number
- Origin
- Destination
These four fields are mandatory in searching on ExpertFlyer (see screenshot below) and it isn't fair to except those who pay for their subscriptions to also have to go look up which cities a specific flight number is from and to (also some flight numbers are onward flights (5th freedom routes, e.g. CMB-MLE) and loads will differ significantly depending on which sector of the flight is checked.

Hi, here is the load figures as of now : F4 A4 J5 C5 I0 O0 P0 Y9 E9 R9 W9 M9 B9 U9 K9 H0 Q9 L9 T9 V0 X0 for EK352 DXB-SIN on the 11th of Jan. EF also showing no upgrade space ( D ) for your flight either , so i doubt a op-up very much likely will happen , however you may have luck with using your miles. Just sadly there is no seats open for upgrade using miles , maybe closer to the date will be best for me to check again for upgrade space using miles along with you trying at check in.

BTW what I wrote earlier about the 777 coach class, it for sure was less terrible than I remember from my KLM flight in one.

As an interest point, I have upgraded SYD - LHR using miles Y-J over the phone despite EF showing no D availability. I did have to get the lady on the phone to go through each day until she found one which she politely obliged to (flying on a flex+). EF was also only showing D available DXB - SYD on the way out but no availability MAN-DXB however I was able to get the upgrade on the phone.
I was tempted to gamble on the op-up having seen so many people get it on my flight out after I had spanked 62,500 points plus taxes however knowing my luck I would have ended up with no op-up and no on board upgrades available either!

If you are looking for Y to J then your New York flight has good op-up potential. Less so to DXB but not out of the range of possibilities. Good Luck!

I am happy to check loads on EF (every now and then), but ask you please to give me the route as well as the flight numbers. EF wants the route (and my poor brain can’t reliably hold the entire network)!

I find copy/paste a bit cumbersome on the iPad, but this should do it.
As would be expected, still lots of availability on all flights and in all classes of service.
