EK420/421 will actually change to B77W. The information included in the above link is incorrect. That change takes places on Oct 28, but the flight is even right now often operated with B77W.

According to some insiders EK will introduce 3rd daily to Milan in June and a 3rd daily to Rome in September (where recently they introduced the A380 as well).
EK also announced 2nd daily to Venice by March.

It was correct at time of posting. EK420/421 changed to 77W from 28OCT12 probably in last few days, according to GDS, which you once claimed "the GDS unfortunately is not an accurate source of information" on KLM forum.

Now what makes you change your mind and decide that the change in this case is an accurate source of information? Stop playing games in your own favor.

BarcelonaAwesome! I think we all saw this coming. EKs withdrawal plans are starting to show, with the flight going straight to 3-class 77W.

MadridWe all saw this coming.

PerthThey're finally chaining it. Interesting to note, that since the 9/10th January (Alos the launch date of Dublin ;) ) the flight has only operated using 77W.

BCN schedule is a bit odd isn't it? Doesn't that early departure mean any flight arriving into DXB after 5:35 would not be able to connect to BCN? That's quite a lot of flights isn't it?

The early departure time has been dictated by increasing congestion issues in the early departure bank. The flight could easily leave 2 hours later as it sits on the ground in BCN for quite a while.

Some of the destinations that will miss on the DXB BCN connection include SYD, most Indian Subcontinent destinations, HRE, LUN, ACC, LOS, ABJ, DKR. Still most of Asia and Southern Africa is covered.

BCN, now that's a route to look forward too... :)

EK 29/30

I was thinking that EK had planned to use a A380 on their London rotation 29/30 starting from the 24th. But according to data.flight24 and flightradar they didnīt. Was there any information about a delay ? Or any news when they will operate a third daily to LHR ?

I am on EK30 on Saturday but had a call on Monday evening (the 23rd) from EK to say it would be a 777. I asked is that because you need to check your aircraft for wing rib cracks so you need to take some out of service and you chose this EK29/30 because it is your latest route to adopt the A380? - yes was the reply. I suspect that it will go to A380 as soon as they have completed their checks.
