Good to finally see the B77W back in ATH.

Agreed, N830MH, they're usually the first for announcements.

Thanks for the info:

Cheers,

EK133 DXB-DME Upgrade from B77W to A380 eff. 01 OCT 2012

I guess that will be the 4 A332s being retired next year.

Interesting to see a A340 go straight to A380.
Also what is the source?

Makes sence cause it's the afternoon flight out of DME. At first all afternoon flights out of European destinations such as LHR, MAN, CDG, MUC and FCO got the A380. But right now EK133/134 is a A345. The evening flight out of DME is a B77W (it's not typical that the evening flight offers more seats than the afternoon flight).
Just to be safe: Do you mean EK133 (A345 to A380) or EK131 (B77W to A380)?

Not surprised to see DXB-ATH go to the Boeing, but I think during the winter months a 77W will be overkill, and I could see a 772 on that instead.

Saw that one coming! Any news on any longhaul 380 flights starting next year? Possibly them switching the DXB-KUL to a DXB-KUL-MEL? Looks like good loads, yet maybe not so in premium.

KUL goes A380 beginning 2012. And if MEL does get a 380, it will obviously be the MEL-DXB direct flight...

MucEKPer Dec 5, 2011 10:42 am

KUL is upgrading to A388 on New Years Day

Sorry I ment to imply they switch the 380 direct DXB-KUL with no tag on, to a DXB-KUL-MEL when the aircraft arrived later in the year, is that a possibility? Or do you think it would it only be a DXB-MEL-AKL direct that would recieve a 380?

Also worth noting that the morning EK21/22 DXB-MAN-DXB has been changed to a 3 class B777-300ER as of 1st June 2012.

Change viewable on emirates website

Well, it wasn't that long ago that ATH was double daily. So not surprised to see them ramp up again.

Didn't they switched from A380 to 77W? I wasn't sure if EK is downgrading from A380 to 77W?

Welcome to FlyerTalk, Delta154. Hope you will enjoy for your stay.
