Timings are pretty lousy to be honest (for anyone looking to travel for business) departing TLV at 14:05 returning from AMS at 07:15.

Route open for bookings starting today.

Less than 100 euro for a return trip.

This is the problem with all Easyjet flights - and the reason I don't fly them more - I need flights that leave Israel in the morning and return in the evening!

Would be interesting to see how many flights they need from an airport before they open a base. They already fly to so many destinations from TLV, I'd say it might make sense.

True, however it is great for people who come to Israel for business, and for tourists who hate 6am departures out of TLV.

Surprised that hasn't made Globes yet

Also surprised to VDA and nothing really to UK. Finally surprised that it's winter and not summer as these seem like seasonal routes

FR's Commercial directer says flying to TLV is not financially viable to them, and doesn't suit them, so that's that then...

I can't imagine how this will succeed when budget travelers see Eilat hotel prices.

They might make special deals for these people. I'd highly recommend keeping an eye on OTA and regular travel agency websites in these countries.

I scored a great hotel in Limassol, Cyprus for a good 250 Euros less than the price that appeared on any of the search engines (Kayak, etc.) by finding a rate on a German travel agency site that was meant for Germans. They still let me buy it :-)

We found a deal in Hilton queen of sheba for 1550 shekel for 2 people for 2 nights including flights from TLV.
If you find the right deals, it can be cheap

It was december time (i prefer it to the hot summer wheather) - an israeli friend found a deal, maybe with eshet tours, i'm not sure.
( BTW, We called the Hilton office in europe, who contacted the manager of the hotel, who arranged a room upgrade to executive room with lounge access, even though I only have hilton silver!)

EDIT: Thinking again - I'm almost sure it was a package deal (flights+hotel) booked directly with Arkia.
