Tickets were cheap!
What does all this have to do with TLV?

Actually flown AI twice in my lifetime. Once I've paid for upgrade to (domestic) J. "lounge" access at DEL was a small coffee shop voucher, seat was domestic F/J of the US. service was so so (but I slept well). The second experience was two days later in Y. last of the day flight, as delayed as OA gets, as stuffed as one can expect. But - in both cases, we landed

(compare with the standard reports that AI's pilots refused to go on board)

I don't fly this route but doesn't the 777 BA usually uses have an F cabin so this would be a downgrade for some?

Used to be the 4-class 777 with F but this changed a few months ago to the 3-class 777 with no F. It's still a reduction in the number of premium seats available.

EasyJet looking to operate TLV-AMS starting W15.

If this happens, it would be their 10th destination out of TLV!

Until U2 opens a base in TLV, the lack of morning flights ex-TLV will stall their growth. But the more routes, the better. Transavia are going to be in for a tough ride.

If they open a base here that will subject them to Israeli consumer protection law. I wonder if that would be a consideration in not doing so.

Looks like we might start seeing Philippines Airlines soon in TLV. Unclear if TLV would be the intermediate stop on the way to Istanbul or the stop after Istanbul for them.

And now it's official!

Staring 26 October operating Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Timings are pretty lousy to be honest (for anyone looking to travel for business) departing TLV at 14:05 returning from AMS at 07:15.

Route open for bookings starting today.
