Nice catch!
Had a play around on Expertflyer - looks like they are appearing late October from what I can see - replacing the 777 flight daily on most days of the week (not all).
That will make a nice change on the route. A shame that the A321's aren't being replaced with these too though.

787 appearing on LHR-TLV, January 2016
Surprised this hasn't been spotted before now, as we have a lot of TLV regulars on the board.
Fares are tempting...very tempting...

Exciting surprise to check my flights in November are now on the 787 opposed to 777. Yay!

They don't sell first on this route anyway? And they didn't sell first on the A380 flights to FRA. Mid-sep for delivery and first 787 service to TLV starting 26th of October... But the AUS route goes to a 777 around then too.

This is a part of a schedule update done to TLV over the weekend:
- BA162/3 will see 5 weekly 787 and 2 weekly 777 service. The 777 will be operated, out of LHR on Sundays and Thursday (back a day later from TLV), on which the flights are usually more popular and require larger aircraft.
- BA166 will depart on 10:30 on every day it operates, unlike a mixed schedule of 0900/1030 last winter, and 1000 in the summer.

Nice indeed, at least in J! Is that only for the winter season or continuing into the summer?

It is a 787-8 for sure opposed to a 787-9.
I've got 5 seats in Row 1 for a surprise birthday in November indicating no F.
The 787-9s, from memory, will have F.
