Trying to figure out what's for dinner tonight. Last night was Benihana, for our anniversary, tomorrow is McCormick and Schmick's. Tonight, no clue. Suggestions?

szg Nov 10, 2007 1:36 pm

I had goulash today. ^

rorschi Nov 10, 2007 1:37 pm

I was in the Spaghetteria two metro stations away and had Spaghetti Carbonara è una Coca Cola! (Not kidding!)

cblaisd Nov 11, 2007 11:56 pm

Last night: pork laulau, chicken long rice, shoyu pork, fresh tangerines, star fruit slices, mochi, poi, lomi salmon, kalua pig

Tonight: leftover laulau :D

(Just as an intermission between delicious Hawaiian specialties...cblaisd, that's a lot of pork!)

I'm as I write this, finishing tonight's dinner.
A Kauai mascot of sorts:

Pan-fried chicken. :D

bodory Nov 12, 2007 3:24 am

A comfort food special tonight.
A large pitta bread toasted and split then filled with mashed up avocado, hummus and bacon.
Followed by another.
The third had some chilli sauce in.
De-effing-licious.

ILuvParis Jan 2, 2008 6:58 pm

Breakfast for supper! I used to love that growing up! :)

It was also a line in the movie Juno.

IAH_FLYER Jan 2, 2008 7:05 pm

Pan-seared cod with tomato, spinach, garlic, white wine sauce + whole-wheat pasta (shells, cause that's what I had open).

tev9999 Jan 2, 2008 8:56 pm

Leftover Andouille Sausage, Chicken and Bacon gumbo that I made for a friends New Years Day football party. It was supposed to be lunch at work but I ate so much at the party yesterday that I still was not hungry.

First time I have made an "authentic" gumbo, including stirring a roux for about 40 minutes. Came out much better than I expected.

It sounds yummy! Dinner tonight was Chinese food again.

UNITED959 Jan 2, 2008 9:40 pm

I think I'd choose dying over what you apparently consider to be "real food." :D

Daringdoo Jan 3, 2008 4:14 pm

Rock Cornish Hens (cook 2, keep one for dinner tomorrow, share the other one with SO) and a huge salad with pear, raisins, nuts, cheese, raw veg...

Followed by a nice cup of tea and a couple of cookies.

3timesalady Jan 3, 2008 4:18 pm

nothing since it is late but also since I cannot keep solid food down :( well, white bread will stay down, but let's just be honest -- white bread is vile (and a little bit racist :p)

jimcfsus Jan 3, 2008 4:34 pm

Cold evening here... warm pot of chili simmering on the stove. Banana bread came out of the oven a little while ago, too.

kipper Jan 3, 2008 7:01 pm

Had pizza for dinner. Just cheese pizza, with crushed red pepper and extra garlic.

tev9999 Jan 3, 2008 7:38 pm

Baked pork chops with too many herbs/spices dumped on top (hate when I get carried away), applesauce (of course) and pasta roni.

UNITED959 Jan 3, 2008 8:43 pm

Marinated Chicken Breast (marinated in OJ, tomato sauce, cilantro, garlic, and chili powder), fresh broccoli, brown rice, and cucumber slices.

Washed it down with some carrot, orange, red pepper, and celery juice that I made. :)

ILuvParis Jan 3, 2008 9:56 pm

Pot roast! I was a little disappointed with my gravy, but I had a couple beef boullion cubes to give it a little more flavor!

3timesalady Jan 4, 2008 7:36 am

white rice and a glass of milk. stupid stupid stomach bug.

szg Jan 4, 2008 4:05 pm

rorschi Jan 4, 2008 4:06 pm

Yes, I have seen a lot of chicken meals. :)

majikTib Jan 4, 2008 5:38 pm

Jambalaya, extra Tobasco

Daringdoo Jan 11, 2008 6:37 pm

Tonight - Italian! Probably Gamberoni con Fettucini. We're trying a new restaurant in Palo Alto. I rarely order meat at a restaurant and usually opt for shrimp, scallops or mussels.

robb Jan 11, 2008 7:29 pm

Just started making a honey mustard glaze for some grilled chicken breasts and glazed parsnips. Serving those with some steamed broccoli with toasted garlic.

Even with hefty 8oz chicken breasts:
509 calories/11g fat (3g saturated)/72g protein/28g Carbs (5g fiber).

Mmmmmm... Good and good for you!

kaiflyer Jan 12, 2008 11:39 am
