Tonight daughter cblaisd and I had excellent takeout from the Salvadorean restaurant in Concord, CA, El Aguacate Del Grullo. We each had the papusa combo meal, she with a queso papusa and a revueltas one; me with two revueltas. Some of the best refried beans and rice I've had in awhile too!

chexfan Dec 7, 2004 8:43 pm

I think I'm going to have Pizza and a Bridgeport IPA tonight! :)

Then you've made some excellent choices - :)

Last night, I had lentils and rice with a boiled egg, and with yogurt on the side, with rice pudding for dessert!

oiRRio Dec 8, 2004 6:14 am

Lamb Vindaloo
2 portions of Pilau Rice
1 Peshwari Naan
All washed down by a pint of ice-cold milk.

Does it get any better?

Yes, replace pint of ice-cold milk with a pint of elephant beer (or another mediocre beer of choice) -- if it's a curry pissup, then I suggest you avoid Murree beer. Worst. Beer. Ever.

anonplz Dec 8, 2004 9:02 am

Not sure yet - maybe some kind of chicken fajita thing, with lettuce, tomato and shredded cheese on a pita bread.

Or else shrimp pilaf.

I'm going to eat some of it with toasted Atkins rye bread, a mixed green salad with blue cheese dressing, and a glass or two of Ravenswood Zinfandel. http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...orum/smile.gif

Dessert is "Carb-smart" strawberry ice cream.

Mmmm. I used to beg my mother to cook the potatoes in with the pork and kraut. (Although that would definitely NOT be low carb!)

Have you tried Edy's low carb ice cream? The mint choc. chip is outstanding! And those Carb-Smart Klondike Ice Cream bars are to die for.

MapleLeaf Dec 8, 2004 3:50 pm

A pint of Tetley's English Ale :)

Thai take-out: a really good and fresh green salad (cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, lettuce, hard-boiled egg, green/red peppers and croutons) and beef pad-see-ew.

Last night, Taco Bueno. Tonight, Taco Bueno. Tomorrow night, Sonic. I've been getting lots of mystery shop requests this week. Why can't they send me to Fogo de Chao?

wahooflyer Dec 10, 2004 6:02 pm

I spend way too much money eating out because I don't know how to cook.

Last night: Penne a la vodka with a bottle of Corona from Frank's Pizza.
Tonight: Pizza?

I love Taco Bueno... where can I get some of this mystery shopping work?!

techgirl Dec 11, 2004 1:41 pm

Tonight I"ll be having leftovers from all the catering that remained after my party last night... empanadas, crab cakes, chocolate strawberries.

ewrfox Dec 11, 2004 2:34 pm

Since I didn’t have any breakfast today, I decided to buy Lipton Teriyaki Rice… And you know what, it actually is good… So that was my lunch… Now for dinner I’m planning ordering some Chinese…

Once I order it, I’ll fill you guys in… :D

MapleLeaf Dec 11, 2004 3:32 pm

I can't decide... I am leaning towards 4 cheese tortellini in a spicy tomato sauce, with soy meatballs. If I didn't have homework to do it would be washed down with a nice wine.

ewrfox Dec 11, 2004 5:46 pm

I decided to go with Crab Meat Lo Mein, Fried Scallops, and something healthy; Steamed Chicken w. Broccoli… Lo Mein and Chicken w. Broccoli small portions of course…

And for drink, I had a small bottle of Merlot… ^

Overall it was good... Noting that tasty... But I'm bit intrigued by MapleLeaf's Dinner... How was it?

MapleLeaf Dec 11, 2004 8:09 pm

Well I didn't feel like cookin so dinner was a can of diet gingerale, and some Christmas Cake (yeah I actually like the stuff). Maybe Tortellini tomorrow night...

I had brisket, potato salad, charro beans, tostadas and chile con queso.

And I will probably have the same tonight, as there were tons of leftovers

:D
