hosting a sleepover with a friend who loves ramen
Carryout from Cocos ramen, Sf ca - first time here since February 2020 if not prior
its Chinese-owned and decent enough for me as theres a great ramen combined with sushi and sashimi. Most Japanese places just dont have all of the above. as much as I love authentic, there are times that I just want it all.

Have been harvesting our butterfly pea ( bunga terlang ) flowers including the ones with multiple petals and using for colouring the nasi lemak .

The nasi lemak using the flower dye , kang kong ( water morning glory or water convolvulus ) with sambal
Battered enoki , family recipe Nonya chap chye , beef rendang , old cucumber soup
Rest of the accompaniments - Assam fish ( tenggiri ) , prawns , sambal prawns - family recipe and fried chicken wings

Chino Bandido
Takeout dinner from Chino Bandido. Jade red chicken and Jen red pork. Refried and black beans. Pork fried rice. My wife got Jerk chicken, Chinese BBQ pork, with black beans and Jerk fried rice. The kid got a kids bowl, with teriyaki chicken and rice and beans. Plus some free sugar cookies for everyone. Yummm.

I love Sugarfire and last time I was in St. Louis (almost 2 years ago) we got Sugarfire takeout only to arrive home and realize they forgot our baked beans. I don't order baked beans anywhere but Sugarfire, and it would have been a 40 minute round trip to get more so I had to do without. Happy to scratch that itch yesterday. Alas, we did not get the pork belly hush puppies, which I also love.
