always all about a bunch of moms gathering to get wasted.
we are reading THE BEAUTY IN BREAKING (Michelle Harper) - a memoir by an ER doctor. Excruciating and good. Libby needed it back so I read it total one time.
next book is by Ash Davidson - I bought it for the other moms and havent yet bought it for myself lol. Just put a hold on Libby. Itll be amusing if I have it from my Ann Patchett book subscription - Im so behind and I havent opened 10 parcels.

Somewhat carried away with mid autumn festival as you see - all “ round “ for the full moon . The tarts from Tarte , mooncakes from various like Goodwood Park , Raffles hotels .. & even Godiva ! The boxes they were presented in were very ‘“ pretty “ - may post some later .

Forgot photos of dinner mains - fried crispy ee mee ( noodles ) , fried chicken with crispy ginger , lemongrass , lime leaves , shallots .. , long beans with minced pork .. lotus root soup ..

Muscat tart

Lime & herb tart

Mooncake with salted egg yolk

What it looks like inside

Champagne truffle snow skin mooncake

Together with a macha mooncake ?

Oh yes , had some Les Amis Blue Mountain coffee ice cream too !

I made a pot of lentil sausage soup a couple nights ago. Mrs BV had it last night. It was delicious the first time. She said it was even better after 2 nights in the fridge. Of course, she improved it with a generous dollop of sour cream. I’ll finish it off tonight. If I get home in time, I found a recipe on YouTube for 3 ingredient bread made in a frying pan, and I would like to try making it. On the surface, it seems too easy to screw up. Hah!

I find that with pea soup too. Something about lentils and peas where they just continue to soak up flavor for another day or two.

I second sharing the bread recipe, if you try it and like it. I assume yeast is not one of the 3 ingredients, and I'm sensitive to yeast so I'm always looking for these recipes. I've failed at buttermilk biscuits too many times...but mostly I don't like that I typically have to keep my beer intake to one per outing to avoid triggering it.

Tonight, we are having some kind of salmon pasta. My wife is trying something new, and says she needs to go to the store this afternoon to get a few ingredients. Not being a big fan of salmon, which she knows, I'm nervous, but know better than to ask questions yet.

Tee hee!

Though he has, through asking them to tweak certain menu items or just make stuff off the menu, gotten them to standardize a couple "Dr Gfunk's Dad" specials that they know how to make but aren't printed on the menu.
