Fish pie with beans picked from the garden today. Followed by (probably) the last of the year's strawberries.

Wednesday night, I will roast the turkey that started defrosting so we will have turkey tacos sometime this coming weekend.
Hmmmm...I can think of a lot worse dead-freezer meals. Sorry about the appliance, but those could be planned meals for me!

Last night, buffalo chicken burgers on the grill. Only another month or so of nice grilling season here, so we enjoyed the moment. Tonight, tuna steaks. Based on the on and off again rain, probably cooked inside.

Oh no! Sorry to hear that. I hope they come back soon once the pumpkin craze season dies down.

At least you're honest about what book clubs are really about.

We split responsibilities around here. My wife reads a book while I sip on a cocktail.

What is your wine club reading this month? My beer group is reading Slaughterhouse-Five, which I read years ago and thoroughly enjoyed, so I'm reading it again.

Nothing! Since two moved out of state and the pandemic, we don't read much any more, but we'll probably try to read something before we're all together again in January. The book I've been trying to get them all to read is Leave the World Behind.

Mr. CE is at a concert tonight and I was planning to get delivery, but the spot I wanted to order from isn't taking pickup or delivery orders, so now I'm in rut. Not feeling very inspired to raid the fridge/freezer, but also not feeling like other delivery options. Hmm...
