Yeah the corn ribs is a trip. New for me. Definitely never imagined that kind of dish!

Broken down Costco roasted chicken with some yellow curry powder mix in a frying pan (think improvised chicken shawarma) into a few pitas with cucumber, shredded ice berg and tomatoes. Tahini-ed and hot oil to taste.

Rice pudding and persimmons for dessert.

LOL, nope. But at least it wasn't flattened like so many of its brethren in Taiwan.

I made the “marry me chicken” from the NYT Cooking app this evening. It’s chicken with some tomato paste and a bit of heavy crme which makes a nice sauce. Paired with a spinach salad and a storm chaser IPA.

Based on the description, isn't this really just a variation on butter chicken? Or am I missing something?

As it stands from the recipe, it wasn't as heavy on the spices (though I added some hot pepper flakes -- 40,000 heat units -- to the dish to zing it up). But pretty close to butter chicken without any hint of curry, etc.
