The last time that I dined at Pujol, the mole madre was only 1853 day old. The time before, it was 1380. In between, when Enrique Olvera cooked a meal with Ludo Lefebvre at the now closed Trois Mec, it was 1450 days old. Time to go back to Pujol.

You'll have sticker shock, and the menu is now approx. US$200/pp. The wine list was stooopid pricing. But overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience, with some of the most interesting and complex flavo(u)rs I've had in ages. And, a bonus, enough food to be full when we were done.

AmexMexing pre-departure light dinner. Tomato y cheese salad with tuna tartare. Tomatoes were tasteless (probably grown for the US market) but tuna was great.

Dinner was the "slim's meal" from Slim Chickens. I haven't had a chance to go grocery shopping this week, so some fried chicken and french fries sounded good...and it was! Back to my usual salads and healthy foods next week
