@uk1, when you do finally post your game-on pic, please, please, please make chicken kofta kabobs in the shape of little footballers! :D

NYC

-Pomegranate blueberry juice
-Rosemary ham and mozzarella on semolina slices
-Three slices of pizza with avocado
-Salted sunflower seeds and stroopwaffel
-(now we're aiming low) half-priced sushi at a kaitenzushi (conveyor belt sushi) place

Yesterday was pizza day!

I went to Forno Rosso in Chicago which does Neopolitain style pizzas for a Flyertalk DO and had one with prosciutto and arugula:

Then I grabbed some sausage and pepperoni Giordano's for the trip home.

Is the meat put on after it's cooked?

Tonight for dinner - bacon. Yep, just bacon. We went all out

Pizza! (that one above looks really good).
I don't want to brag but I make great pizza at home. It took a few years to figure it out but now anyone who eats my pizza says they are spoiled and disappointed in any local restaurant pies. Key factors: super hot oven with pizza stone, slow dough - sourdough made a day ahead and refrigerated overnight, San Marzano tomato sauce, great cheese and fresh herbs if you can get them (summer for us).
We had a pizza last night.
I want a wood fired oven in my back yard eventually.

Last night I made pork ribs in the wood oven....easy peasy and always taste great.

However I cut a few ribs off and put them aside as I decided to experiment with them by adding a honey/soya/sugar/marsala/garlic marinade. They got burnt to a crisp so more experimenting needs to be done.....although the one small piece that was salvageable did taste not too bad.

That's called a pizza crudo around these parts. One of my favorites. By the way, looks like they left a lot of the fat on the prosciutto. I generally like to strip mine off.

I'm young and don't care about cholesterol, give me the fat! :D

Today I had homemade sloppy joes (aka manwichs) and some Clementines which are so addictive.

Sometime in your life you must try jamon Iberico de Bellota- simply amazing. Not sure how difficult it is to find in the USA, but it isn't too costly in Spain

Half of a steak burrito. Based on the receipt in my pocket the entire burrito was purchased at 2:53 AM and likely half consumed by 2:58 AM.

Some of the biggest king crab legs I've ever seen, warmed with drawn butter. Just arrived at Costco. $19.95/lb, and worth every penny.

Today we have been eating for lunch my home made Beef Meatloaf Wellington with a Martini Rosso Gravy, cheese mash and peas with a bottle of Rioja. I don't like beef fillet in my Wellington ... and this has all the flavour you choose to add .....
