Save for the wine, that's enticing. Even more so if those peas tasted like how they do at Nando's.

Not a Rioja fan? I think it's a great choice for that spread

I don't drink alcohol, so nope! Though when I did years ago - even then it was rare - red wine was no friend of mine.

That looks really lovely ..... :)

Tell the truth ... did you make a nice chicken risotto and carefully flatten it and arrange some prawns and peas on top to make it look like a Paella ....;)^ Good to see you de-veined the prawns.

Spill the peas!:)

To be fair I didn't have a recipe as such, I just sautéed off some onions, peppers & garlic, added the Valencia rice to coat, added some saffron, peas, salt & pepper then poured in some chicken stock. Left it for 15 minutes before putting the prawns in and leaving for another 5 minutes with a lid on. It was very tasty and as it was a little Risotto-ish we had garlic ciabatta with it!

Heading here for lunch in an hour. Perfect timing too, the Clementine, Banana and Granola Bar I had for breakfast ain't doing it anymore!

I went to Forno Rosso in Chicago which does Neopolitain style pizzas for a Flyertalk DO and had one with prosciutto and arugula:

Then I grabbed some sausage and pepperoni Giordano's for the trip home.

Really bummed I missed this DO. :(

Pizza looked great...

It was, we'll have to go back.

As to lunch, I did a "Fat One" which is a Cuban sandwich with double ham, double pork, double cheese and mustard and I added some hot sauce. I also split a tres leches cake. Incidentally, the joint makes its own salsa with added mango. It was so good I bought some to take home ^
