By the way how were the ribs after cooking? As I said up thread mine were a disaster as I got the heat all wrong and didn't have any foil.

To be completely honest they were very poor. It was the first day we had been able to get out for a walk for a long time so I put the ribs into the oven on low, and out we went, but because I hadn't sealed them properly they dried and then caught. Binned. Normally they are perfect, but I bu#%ered them this time.

:(

This will make you homesick ... we have a ancient drove road passing through the village.

Kind of a new twist on high-fiber breakfast? ;)

Went to Tony Roma's yesterday on the Costco $79.99 deal for a $100 certificate. I stocked up and bought $500 worth.

Had a nice Rib Eye, and chose sautéed mushrooms, and sweet potato fries as sides. Bought the starter salad, and hot green tea for beverage. For dessert, ordered the cheesecake, cookie a la mode, and apple tart a la mode. For middle of the road, it was great value.^

Ramen noodles.

But I'm currently nibbling on a chocolate bar with nutmeg from the Agapey Chocolate Factory in Barbados. I need to go back and replenish my supply, particularly of their caramel rum bars.

Tonight we made a recipe I clipped from the TK inflight magazine - "quail with pomegranate molasses, rosemary, thyme, and garlic". Couldn't get quail so we substituted Cornish hens. Wow - really nice. Picked up the pomegranate molasses in Turkey, can't seem to find it here. Turned out great
