Roast pork, spuds gratin and Yorkshire Puddings with PROPER gravy and none of that metrosexual jus nonsense.:D

I understand that.

Some people like to have their gravy sitting on top of their Yorkshire Puddings as though it were icing, others of a more cultured disposition like to be able to mop up gravy. That implies potential for absorbency.

:)

I like my gravy to be of medium viscosity with a bit of colour in it. Argentines have still to be schooled in the art of gravy making. For some strange reason despite the amount of pan they devour with every meal they aren't into gravy.

Anyway a home made chicken curry for me tonight.

Not feeling well so chicken noodle soup and a peanut butter sandwich. At least a little hot sauce saved the soup as always.

Ah, The Widow Ponsardin. My favourite champagne of all. 2004 a good vintage ?

I've never heard of meatloaf wellington but it looks delicious!

Meanwhile, usual weekday breakfast here...Poptarts, coffee, and a banana.

My own invention. i realised I loved Wellimgtons but hated the fillet beef. I use a muddy boot s pork and beef meat loaf which I precook and then put it in cold into the pastry. It is incredibly cheap and really lovely.

One of these days I'm going to knock on every door in the United Kingdom until I find yours. I'll bring a bottle of wine or something.

Went to Nosh here in Durham, a healthy type sandwich shop. Had a half grilled cheese and cauliflower and kale soup. Delish ^

Carb heavy tonite at Chuck E Cheese. Brought my oldest son out for a father/son outing.

I did take the salad bar and loaded up on the veggies, but that half pizza topped with pepperoni and mushrooms is definitely taking its toll.

Didn't feel like anything too heavy so made a cheese, ham, spinach and tomato omelette. With a glass or 3 of Oyster Bay sauv blanc it went down very nicely.
