My wife and I are eating at the newly renovated Saddleroom Grill right before the hockey game. Pretty pricey but, hey I'm on a date with my wife. Will post back on the quality of food. We both ordered the pre fixe menu for $46 pp.

Update: We had the best and most tender poached halibut tonite finished off in broth, mussels and prawns. A fantastic dish. Appetizer was a duck tasting dish, and the dessert a strawberry soufflé. |
Today .... I (we) have been eating ....
Went to the pop up dinner at One Leicester Street last night where the former team from Viajante cooked and mingled. Very good experience but unfortunately undersubscribed. Only 11 people present. For the price, £88 all inclusive of food and drinks, it was really a bargain.
Just want to add a PS that this was an amazingly good experience and that it will continue on certain days until May. It's a communal dining experience - everybody sits at one table and you can't help but get to know each other over the course of the evening. It's a very intimate experience and by the end of the evening (after much drinking) most everybody ended up in the bar together. During the meal the chef and his team come out to discuss every course and make small talk. Here is a link, by the way. http://www.hot-dinners.com/Gastroblo...icester-street |

Today I ate at Jen'es in Koh Tao in Thailand. Their chicken massaman curry is about £2 and is one of the best things I've ever eaten. |
Scrambled eggs with sausage and provolone cheese and a couple slices of buttered toast and a strawberry yogurt. I always cook a nice breakfast on the weekends.

PowerAde Zero on sale at Costco. Today I swam for 2 hours and chugged nearly 3 bottles of the stuff. I bought I think 10 cases.

You mean you ditched her once it comes to going out, and keep her once she cooks? :p :p I ate like a pig yesterday. Had chicken schnitzel with spinach/fries and salad. THEN an incredible chocolate thingy that had pistachios, yummy. Then dinner courtesy of BA. Off to the gym. |

Is this the one that you refer to in that whitie thread?

Ham and cheese omelet, bacon, sausage, hash browns, a biscuit, country ham, some shrimp and corn chowder and ice cream. Thanks, Mom and Dad! :D |
I remember my University days and food subsidized by my parents, especially our weekly outings at Chinese restaurants. Gotta get all the help you can get.
This morning I had a gluten free egg salad sandwich and yogurt parfait. Beef dip, potatoes and a cheddar veggie soup for lunch at the Calgary Science Centre. As an annual Member I get 10% off our party's food purchases. |
Mother's day in the UK yesterday so we had my mother and mother in law to lunch.
I made halloumi salad, fish pie and apricot tart. My mother who is never happy complained that there was beetroot in the salad, leeks in the fish pie and almonds in the frangipane around the apricots. |

We're having Sunday lunch tonight.
It was abandoned during preparation yesterday when Mrs Showbizguru announced " Bollocks to this, let's go out and get pissed " which we duly did.As it was Mother's Day I couldn't really object. Roast pork, spuds gratin and Yorkshire Puddings with PROPER gravy and none of that metrosexual jus nonsense.:D |
