Holed up in a hotel tonight so I got Dickeys BBQ Pit to go. It was pretty decent, cheddar jalapeno sausage, beef brisket, slaw and potato salad was had by me. Plus some Sweetwater 420 16 ounce cans. All in all, a lovely night.

Triple cream brie, salami, and tangerines. Not all at the same time. ;-)

Hey, why not? They wouldn't make great little sandwiches, but would be fine as part of the same meal. :)

Traveling today. Gross breakfast not worth describing on Delta, then cookies on Air France.

Lunch today in Madrid: Calamari baguette and a coffee. Later, more coffee

Dinner today in Madrid: Ecuadorian food for my first time. Got shrimp ceviche, cold chicken breast, rice, salad and a mixture of potatoes and chicken served hot (I think, I just picked something Spanish on the menu :D) all quite good.

Lunch from work - a pulled pork and grilled pineapple sandwich on a toasted brioche bun with a side of cheese fries with gravy. Tasty.

What's that in the middle? It looks like chicken tikka masala.

I just ate a sweet bread with a latte

I see that .... I marinated the chicken for two days ..... then it became the top picture! If I'd kept the marinade and added some cream it could have been CTM!

:)

Still in Madrid:

- Breakfast: Hotel buffet: Cocoa Puffs (with hot, not just warm, but HOT milk...bloody Europe), cold cuts, cheese, yogurt and croissants

- Lunch: Lunch special at a tapas bar, tomato and goat cheese salad, chicken and rice and fresh pineapple plus beer

- Dinner: Another tapas bar, smoked Chorizo de Leon with bread and crackers and a couple of beers. Plus a Coronetto Ice Cream cone on the walk back to the hotel.

As I understand it, their national dish "Llapingachos" is some sort of hot dog-based stew. I mentioned it to a cab driver in NYC once, and he was overcome with homesickness. I've never had it.

A munchy box in the wee hours this morning on the walk home from a night out in town. Not very healthy, but when drunk it is delicious!
