Generally, sampling local fare while traveling is a priority. As I have quickly come to learm after a few visits, this is not the case in Taiwan.
Tainan -Banana -(According to the Chinese label) cheese, butter and a hint of apple bread -Some fruit/vitamin petri pouch -Milk -Oolong green tea (can't fault the island for its cheap and plentiful tea) -Bibimbap with sea grass and onions -Winter melon juice -Donq baguette with a salad -Fruit/vegetable juice |
Lot of snacking today. We're gathering at my parent's house for Thanksgiving and there's chocolate rice krispee treats, crumb cake, pumpkin oat bread and other goodies.
Plus, I went out and had Chicken Masaman Curry at Thai Cafe for lunch. |
Just had a big plate of leftover Indian food. Not sure what was on it, but it was delicious.

Had a particularly good salad for lunch today, but this evening warming up to my special stir-fry - chicken, lots of vegetables but flavoured with sesame, chili and lime.

Now how come everyone's pictures stay and mine gets erased????
UK1, still flour left after all the bread and pizza? And you must have bought lots of carrots/green beans and brussels sprout? |

Turkey & pumpkin pie.

Surprisingly - not turkey! Today was a friend's birthday and she wanted to go to a local steakhouse for dinner. Although they offered a Thanksgiving dinner on the menu, we all enjoyed delicious steak (filet mignon in my case) instead. Accompanied by a lovely bottle of ZD Cabernet.

A delicious paella made by friends who work at the Spanish Embassy. Accompanied by jamon with Fino and Rioja to drink. All rather let down by cake for pud - until then I could have imagined being in Valencia!

Helping out with the leftovers so I had a sandwich with turkey, roast beef, cheese, stuffing, mustard and thousand island dressing. It was delicious ^
