Black and white pudding, proper pork sausages, real bacon, beef tomaotes and mushrooms all grilled plus poached free range eggs on toasted sesame bagels.
The go-to breakfast in Chateau Showbizguru when preparing for two rugby internationals and six hours in the pub watching them. |
I'd always wanted to make some curry puffs at home, so today I made some .... and we had them for supper with some Pilsner.

Today is my cheat day after been shredding for the past ten days. I had a reasonable breakfast at Waffle House.

New York:
Lunch at The Counter Times Square: Custom Burger with: - Carrots - Cole Slaw - Cucumber - Hardboiled Egg - Apricot Spread Sweet Potato Fries Dessert at Junior's in Brooklyn: - Strawberry cheesecake - Coffee I love New York. |
Dinner at Fogo de Chao in Dallas. First time there, and the best churrasco I have had in the US. Excellent! Only minor letdown was the absence of farofa, and ovos de cordona.

Also, apricot spread on your burger? So, we have grape jelly for meatballs, parmesan and ginger on pizza...that's one reason I find this thread interesting. I enjoyed brain in Morocco, but I'm not sure I could do grape jelly and meatballs (still)! |

They seem popular in Indonesia...curry puffs, that is.
So what did I order? Well ..... puff pastry was half price ......:D |
How's Edo for breakfast? I was hungry and walked in at 10 am yesterday morning.
I didn't do the sumo size that I usually do. But the brown rice option is considered a super food and a great deal at 49 cent upgrade. Has helped with my diet.:) |

Is the Grand Central Junior's the same, or is it worth going to the Brooklyn one for the atmosphere? I'm asking on behalf of a non-local bud.

I ordered this combo on a whim, I called it the salad burger and I thought it fit. Check out the pic: http://cmk10.smugmug.com/Travel/Flye...DSCN0813-L.jpg |

I don't think the Grand Central one is the same at all. I grew up going to the one in Brooklyn and the one at Grand Central just feels like a pale imitation, like one of those sequels that isn't able to capture what made the original so good. Plus, Junior's in Brooklyn is right next to the DeKalb Avenue Subway stop and it's a quick ride to Manhattan.

Also, if anyone's into bleu cheese fries, Whitman's in the East Village is a place to go. |
We ate at a brand new Italian Street food restaurant called Cibo tonight. Authentic Naples wood fired oven, gluten free pasta with braised veal, egg drop soup with chicken and vegetables, salad and gelato for desert.
For those in Calgary, this restaurant is located at Deerfoot Meadows and worth a try. Its a quick serve, high quality and reasonable price. San Pelligrino Aranciata was served as a beverage. Nice touch. |
