I didn’t want heavy toasting - the bread was in the fridge so toasting was between light & medium :-)

I agree. It looks like it wasn't toasted at all.

I cracked open a piece of cookware I’ve had for weeks, intimidated by something new - a tagine. Everything turned out wonderfully, but I’ll add fast-cooking vegetables in the last ten minutes. The romanesco was too done.

Leftover Stromboli pizza

This pesto tomato and mozzarella recipe from Williams Sonoma looked easy enough, but I didn’t have any mozzarella, only about two tablespoons of ricotta. I feel like I NAILED IT! 😄

I overcooked a bag of soaked beans in the Instant Pot today. My plan was to portion them out for different uses, but they were all destined for soup. It’s a scorching 72° at my house today. Not the best day for soup.

Frozen wild caught Alaskan salmon. Came with a mustard barbecue sauce to cover up the fishiness.

Served with a chopped salad with sesame dressing and chunks of orange honeydew melon.

Ate some Motor City frozen Detroit style pizza this afternoon. Got a two pack from Costco. Actually pretty good. I added red onions and green olives. The crust was very nice, after 20 minutes in the oven. Way better than the Pizza Hut Detroit pizza. Better than the Goldbelly semi-frozen Detroit pizza I got earlier this year. And wayyyyy cheaper.
