Did you really order 18 pieces of baklava? If so, you're my hero. That is my favorite all time dessert.
If you like these tasty morsels, and if you ever in the San Diego area, Alhamdani is the best shop for such, IMO. Flavorful pastries but not too sweet and very generous on nuts and flavored with cardamom rather than cinnamon. The NYT did an article on this shop: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/11/25/n...ee-bakers.html https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...4e1b44c5_z.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...1b3cb725_z.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...4511a411_z.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...4111cae3_z.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...bb7aa2c7_z.jpg |
Steak and roasted fennel and gold beet with fresh grapefruit dressing for a late lunch today. I used my mini cast iron skillet as a grill press for the first time and should have cut the time down to 1 - 1.5 minute per side.

I met a friend in Sarasota for dinner. We went across the street from his office to a pizza place.
Italian sub, cold, minus the provolone. Stella X 2 i was underwhelmed, but they were his client so I raved about my sub. |
