I looked at the sticky and couldn’t find what SPAM (with Periods) actually means. Argh. |
Just finished a knish, with spicy brown mustard for lunch.

Chopped salad from Portillo's. (I resisted a Jumbo dog with fries or an Italian beef with hot peppers.)

Office moving day. I’m mentally taxed as I hope that the truck can fit everything :-)
Trader Joe’s chocolate croissant Trader Joe’s sourdough toast with french honey milk jam I should have had some peanut butter or other protein with breakfast. Silly me for deciding to eat after the move. Doh!

tom yum (not) goong
Tom Yum broth with chinese pork and shrimp dumplings (frozen homemade from a local chinese dumpling shop), chopped kale, celery and carrots. Not traditional but a useful way to use what is in the house (no shopping).
Doesn't really compare to true Thai one with fresh herbs (and shrimp) but okay for a relatively healthy and easy lunch. |

Lunch. Took some leftover rotini with mushrooms and king crab meat substitute (i.e., prawns) - red sauce with some chili, put it in air fryer for a bit - took the shellfish out after a few minutes, heated the rest until nice and crispy, and put over a big bed of romaine with some lemon juice and vinaigrette, and a sprinkles of grated parm.

La Boulangerie de San Francisco (not the chain restaurant) Super Flaky Croissant Toast with jarred pesto sauce. Coming to this thread reminded me I still have the Diestal ham in the fridge, so the second slice will be with pesto and ham.

Have you had their lemon cake? It’s a seasonal thing (sadly).

This week, more La Boulangerie products were available to add to my grocery box. The Everything Croissant Toast is fantastic. I’ve got some mean garlic breath right now.

I’ve spent 6-9 months thinking of making rotkohl and I saw the convenience of the jar. I’m also pretty sure that the fondue restaurant in carmel uses Sysco or jarred rotkohl that is served with their Schnitzel. Isnt la Boulangerie of Sf a chain? Tiny regional chain, but basically the chain bought and then dumped by SBUX. |
