My wife has fallen in love with the Chik-Fil-A Chicken Wrap, with the Light Balsamic Vinagrette Dressing. So, I picked up one with a 12 pc Nugget for me sans sauce, as the batter they use has enough flavor that I don't need any. Finished it off with a Chocolate Shake and Ice Water (with normal cubes).

Pure indulgence .. who on earth has a light lunch of shared / split slices of quiche by top rated patissier & moves on to a Michelin starred restaurant ? In this case , Tarte followed by Les Amis .. returned specifically for te ox tongue - hmm delicious
Quiches were : BROCCOLINI & RICOTTA CHEESE and BACON & MUSHROOM CHEESE https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...56d0fff43.jpeg La Tete de Veau ( ox tongue stuffed in calf ’ s head , balanced with fresh herb salad and ravigote ) with sprinkling of egg and celeriac - was it poached ? Enjoyed the amuse bouche , similar to earlier posts and the dark chocolate tart , had to miss the coffees though |
Wawa tuna sub, loaded with veggies: onions, spinach, lettuce, sweet peppers, banana peppers, jalapeno peppers.

I haven't had a Wawa sub for a few years, miss them. |
Just got around to making something that’s been on my radar for years (it’s one of those dishes you come across on lunch menus in Japanese cafés) but hadn’t done before.
Doria (ドリア), but didn’t make it for myself. My husband would happily eat rice every day, but my daughter prefers a bit more variety. I’m having stir fried cauliflower, and to keep the rice offering ‘fresh’ I tackled this video recipe Lots of other Doria recipes if you’re looking to mix things up for lunch/dinner but don’t have - or want to use - bacon. Prawn and other seafood kinds are pretty popular. If you have the rice cooked already it’s less than 10 minutes - really simple. |

what is the white liquid - I'm guessing cream (could be coconut milk but since it's Japanese probably not - and not with cheese)?
Thanks for introducing me to her channel!

I’m having stir fried cauliflower, and to keep the rice offering ‘fresh’ I tackled this video recipe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5CNSPDI940 it’s pretty self explanatory, the middle ingredients are three tablespoons of tomato ketchup, about half a teaspoon of chicken stock granules and a teaspoon of oyster sauce. Lots of other Doria recipes if you’re looking to mix things up for lunch/dinner but don’t have - or want to use - bacon. Prawn and other seafood kinds are pretty popular. Last minute lunch decision to pick up from one of the excellent delis in our area. Pastrami Reuben for my wife, hot pastrami and Swiss on rye with mustard for me. Coleslaw and a deli pickle for each of us. Her leftover pastrami (typical huge deli sandwich) is going to make a really tasty omelet for me tomorrow :).

Thanks for introducing me to her channel! Here’s a machine translation of the ingredients: [10 minute Doria * amounts] (For 2 people) Butter 10g Bacon 40g 1/2 onion Broccoli 1/2 share Ketchup 3 tbsp Consomme 1/2 teaspoon Oyster sauce 1 teaspoon Black pepper a little Milk 150cc Rice for 2 bowls (careful not to add too much, the rice soaks up the sauce, you want it to be moist at the end, not a brick) Plenty of cheese Bread crumbs 4 tbsp (2 tbsp each) Butter 10g (5g each) |
Daughter's 10 birthday and wanted to have crab legs for dinner. Sam's Club bought were a tad salty but otherwise fine when served with butter!
We also had cast-iron pan cooked chicken and rice with salad. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...5ab312e8_c.jpg |
Sliced Persian cucumbers with everything bagel seasoning.

Safeway only because it was on sale - $4.99 for a 4-pack. I can’t tell if it’s better than Evergood, which is priced better (as a triple 4-pack) at Costco. So I’ll just get Evergood at Costco when I have both enough space and desire to buy it at Costco.
I miss the old days of Evergood at Costco. Maybe 14-15 years ago. I think the 12 pack of sausage was $7.99 then. Not split into 4 packs then. I cut down on Evergood a bit once they topped $10 a pack. For years, I’d eat two for breakfast almost every day.
