Eat them when they’re still nice and hard. Yummmmm. ;)

Since you mentioned polenta, ever try cooking something Romanian?

I'm up the Northern NSW coast in Yamba. Their great gift to the world is the Yamba prawn. More than a few celebrity chefs consider them the best prawns in the world.

Anyway, to that end, I made a nice sandwich for lunch of Yamba prawns with celery, dill and mayo. Very good, but I think I'll just eat the prawns straight up from now. They're too tasty on their own.

I like them soft and juicy, so each to his or her own! In fact, I have one ripening and ready for lunch today.

Ooo that looks yummy. I might do that for lunch and sub the celery with cucumber.

Costco has pork tenderloin on sale so I made a marinade with olive oil, balsamic glaze, garlic, fresh rosemary. Was very good.

I think we might be talking about 2 different kinds of persimmons here. I made the mistake of eating a not quite ripe one once ---not a good memory when it's the wrong kind .

The ones I have are fuyu, and they're okay to eat before fully ripe.

Is that a pork loin or a tenderloin? I wonder if my Costco has a sale.

Pork tenderloin. I got the 2-pack (with two tenderloins in each pack) for $11. We will get 3 dinners out of this for our family of 4.

That might be worth a trip...I love their pork tenderloin and it is so easy to cook and zero waste.

Spaghetti with leftover Rao’s & meatballs, with added Calabrian chilis for the sauce reheat :-)
leftover mixed green salad with olive oil & red wine vinegar

Had a $30 coupon with UberEats and the kids wanted to have Yoshinoya delivery. Ordered the following:
  • 4 Veggie Spring Rolls
  • Large Orange Chicken
  • Large Original Beef
  • Large Grilled BBQ Beef
The BBQ beef and the orange chicken were too sweet, too much rice in comparison with protein, and everything was a meh!

What was your final cash out cost? Sorry that it wasn’t great. Were the egg rolls crispy?

"sauce reheat..." is that a pun?
