It's a complicated recipe, requiring a handful of ingredients which need to be bought from either Amazon or a specialist Indian grocer, but not impossible and so worth it. Highly recommended.

Could you reveal what the esoteric ingredients are?

While shifting some things around in the pantry this morning, I came across a can of refried beans, so I made some Mexican (brown) rice in the Instant Pot and had a warm, comforting bowl for breakfast / lunch.

Correction (after checking with the boss): the shrimp was fried with Turmeric, garlic, cilantro stems, and chillies - sorry! :)

Fantastic lunch yesterday at 10 Cases. The entree was grilled octopus and peppers with a pumpkin sauce, and the main course was a confit of duck with duck hearts on a bed of lentils. Adding some creamed cabbage and washing it down with some Chiroubles made for a very contented LHRSFO!

I bought these curry noodles on a whim. I love curry and it tastes fine for instant noodles, except I bought them from a retailer that sells detergents and cleaners and I can taste the soapiness that permeated the cup and lid. My burps are soapy too.

The sodium content is 63% of the recommended daily allowance! I ate the banana, for the potassium, to counteract some of the sodium. 🤞

You have some delicious looking breakfasts, the kind I wish I could have every morning, if only I had the time and that much of an appetite at that time! Occasionally, something like this is a weekend treat for me.

It is breaking the 14+ hours fast and usually taken between 11:00 & noon, and thus I call it breakfast - it's more like a brunch actually. Second and final meal of the day supper or early dinner taken 6 hours later. Snack of either fruits or yogurt before 9 PM.

Enjoy your weekend treats & let us know what you have had! :)

Espresso chocolate chip cookies dusted with sea salt. Although, the baker went a bit overboard with the salt for my tastes.
