A new burger place in Durham opened up called Burger Bach so my Dad and I checked it out. It's a "New Zealand inspired gastropub". Not sure what that means, but they have a bunch of beers and you can get every burger with lamb, chicken or beef:

This was a chili cheese burger and it was delicious.

All those angles are freaking me out, man. Looks like your food was sliding across the table like you were on a ship at sea.

In Honolulu for lunch, Puka Dog with Mango Sauce and hand squeezed lemonade. I could eat 10 of these and guzzle 5 lemonades, but I'm watching my figure

Tonight, dinner at Haleiwa Joe's in Kaneohe for the catch of the day and the super loaded baked potato.

With a name like RobieRunner, why do you worry about your figure ?

"Hawaiian" Salmon Salad

...and I forgot to mention that I finally made (with a few alterations) uk1's summery salmon salad...

Ever so grateful for this recipe...so wonderfully quick and easy and delicious. Also I put the sauce you see in the ramekin on the potatoes so that's why they look super greasy. Thanks again for the recipe uk1!

That looks lovely. Is the juice from the asparagus?

You might consider an Austrian potato salad .. but those pots look good. So pleased you tried it.

You're back! Welcome!

I also made your summery salmon salad, but with a few modifications: used a white fish and did a tzatziki sauce instead of hollandaise. It was great!

It's really a super modified hollandaise...sherry, thyme, and a bunch of stuff I don't remember. Might try out that potato salad next time, frying them up is really easy but not to forgiving or very summery.

uk1 those red peppers look absolutely must haves.

Over here in US, hot pepprs from Thailand are non existent for more than a month. They say the US Govt imposed a ban as they were used to smuggle drugs in the cases
