Liege waffles with bacon, fried egg, and havarti at Off The Waffle in Eugene, OR.

Lunch at Tacovore right now and they are great. The horchata is really nice and refreshing. Carnitas and carne asada tacos are yummy.

Dinner the last two nights at fisherman's market and a place called Party Downtown. Recommend both, but party downtown more.

UK1, I made your warm salmon salad for dinner. Your second version with hollandaise.

It was delicious. My husband loved it too and has given me permission to make it again

So thank you. It's nice to have another variation for salmon.

Traveling today. Went to an Irish Pub in St. Petersburg, FL and had a Shepherd's Pie and a Sessions IPA for dinner.

I made uk1's fish-potato-asparagus dish last night. I used cod and tzatziki sauce instead, since one of my friends who was over doesn't like salmon. It was really good!

Watching Netflix's 'Chef's Table' made me roast some veggies and make a medley.

Beijing cuisine

Had lunch with friends at a Beijing Chinese restaurant (Beijing Pie House) in Monterey Park in SoCal. Excellent "Beijing Pies" which are similar to large flat pan fried dumplings filled with different meats, and pan fried dumplings (pot stickers.) On the way out, I noticed one of the cooks making noodles by hand, completely from scratch. I made a note to try the noodles the next time I dine here.

Beijing pies. Filled with beef and scallions. In the background is a lamb filled "pancake" which.

Pot stickers with pork and leeks.

Haha well I was traveling with my younger brother who didn't really want to meet up with any FTers. His loss I say.

Incidentally, I brought home some leftover hot links from Fat Willy's and I ate them today with rice, cheese and hot sauce. Tasty stuff.

I raise a toast to the wonderful contributors to this thread. A cuvee pecheur seems particularly appropriate. ^

Big fry up for breakfast then for lunch Scotch pie and baked beans followed by fish and chips for dinner.
Great to be back in Scotland eating healthy food again. ^
