It's regular cream cheese with bits of various vegetables in it ... a common option at bagel shops.

This is actually a real food... though I don't know what abomination the DL catering thinktank may have turned it into... I get it from time to time... it's regular cream cheese just with specks of onion, bell pepper, leeks, carrot, etc. I think you can actually buy it Philadelphia brand in the grocery (Einstein's bagels has it as a schmear too).

I don’t love them either, I’m afraid… they’re a 3.5* out of 5* for me, tasty but unremarkable. Maybe something gets lost in translation in packaging in a commissary kitchen…. I should try them in person, as they’re super close to my home, but interestingly I’ve never encountered them before except on flights. Maybe they focus more on catering and packaged business vs in person takeout?

When I think cookies in Seattle, my go to is Midnight Cookie Company…. Now that’s an onboard partnership I could get behind.

Same menu on upcoming SJC-ATL. I try not to do spicy onboard. These are the worst options I’ve seen probably ever - maybe not individually but as a whole.

See my photos a few posts up. At least for the chicken spiced does not mean spicy. The slice of pepper is a spice of the world's smallest bell pepper it seems. I think it's their word for this tastes like something other than western food. I didn't see the shrimp. The burger is a bit gross tasting.

Part of it is that studies show that food does taste differently in a plane cabin at 35K+ feet. We don’t taste sweet and salty as well but our perception of ‘spicy’ remains mostly intact-which is probably why ginger ale and spice-heavy cookies like Biscoffs still taste good on a plane

Delta should've used the word "seasoned" and then there wouldn't be all this angst about spicy food.

And part of it is impossible meat is a bad tasting product, burgers shouldn't be "korean" flavored, and a random mushy rectangle of sweet potato with 2 slices of bell pepper and 2 slivers of onion and a leek with the waste still attached isn't a meal in any continent

For me, it’s more texture - I’m a soft cookie person, and these aren’t particularly soft. That doesn’t change at altitude, but it might change with industrial production.
