I've been away from Delta for a while.

What should I expect for a first class meal on a 9am MEX-ATL in late Nov 2022 (and will there be the ability to pre-order)?

Thanks!

It’s too soon to tell right now, you probably won’t know until about 2 weeks out. Once the menu is released the app will give you an option to choose and you’ll also receive an email.

SLC-DFW: Chilled Chicken option. Did not taste any spice. Lol.

Maybe 3/10 tops.

other menus

And easy enough to figure out the meal for other routes by changing the route at the end of the URL from SEA-JFK to one's preferred...

I can't remember if this has been asked, but are any of transcons selling food again in C+/Y? I have a tight layover in ATL next week and it's looking like the RUC won't clear. And if they are, is it a super limited number of routes?

I believe it's anything >=1500 miles, lunch/dinner options are a chicken salad croissant or a fruit and cheese plate. Both seem to be catered in limited supply, though if you're in C+ you should be fine.

They are back on those flights, but supply chain issues or something is still causing quantity problems. There have been reports of running out even before finishing Cocktail+ on like ATL-SEA.

D1 flight from SCL to ATL last week, a 9 hour flight leaving ACL at 8:45 PM. FA came through with the drink cart, didn't have the Old Fashioned, oh well, took the Negroni. Served the drink with small dish of nuts. I didn't realize that right behind the drink cart was the guy with the dinner tray, so it turned out the Negroni was my drink with dinner - whatever happened to the pre-dinner drink in 'D1'? I had pre-ordered a pork dish, which turned out to be inedible. The desert was some blob of gelatin, you could have played squash with the thing. They then brough out what at some time had been a sundae, but it had obviously thawed and re-frozen. Breakfast was granola that had been glued to the plate with some white substance and decorated with a few coconut flakes. I said "D1" since the plane was one of the A350s purchased from LATAM with the 2x2x2 configuration in "D1" - one of those where you have to crawl over your seat neighbor to go to the restroom. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

BBQ Wings?

Has anyone had the bbq wings? It’s listed as a special option on my D1 from JFK to SFO next Tuesday. Tried posting a pic but I haven’t made enough posts yet.

Also, there’s lunch on my ATL to PUJ Thursday but no meal preorder. Is this a box route?

A few pages up there should be pictures of the wings. From what I remember they looked quite good!

And my guess would be a boxed meal for PUJ if no preorder appears in the app.
