Delta 777-200ER/LR Conversions to 7HD & 7HB. Pre-mods config is 37J/36W/218Y. For all the ERs and the first LR, post-mods config was initially 28J/48W/220Y (7HD/7HB). The post-mods config for all ERs and LRs is now 28J/48W/90Y+/122Y (7CD/7CB).

By moving the ATL-NRT-ATL legs to A359 later this month, DL will free up 2 of the refurbished LR's and then N701DN will be returned to service in about a week, this will ALMOST help run both PVG and JNB routes. Also happening at the end of this month, MSP-CDG-MSP is being migrated to a B767-300ER aircraft, which will allow another LR routing move to the ER group (unsure which one Delta will be doing this to) will then free up another 2 referb'd LRs to handle the 2 routes listed above (ATL-JNB and ATL-PVG). Delta will need to get very creative in how they are going to accomplish this task - It does seem like it can't be done. Guess we will need to wait until sometime into November to see how it is to happen.

I was just on this plane earlier in the week. The lav is just in front of you, but people can wait in the open door area in front of the lav (right behind Delta One). When I was waiting to go, I was much closer to Delta One than PS.

Answering my own question about the bullkhead in Comfort Plus here. There was plenty of room on the side bulkhead. The middle row did have more room, but people also cut through to get to the other side of the plane.

Hi, I guess this could be a good thread to post my doubt instead making a new one.

I'm traying to head to PVG for mid 2020. I can't figure out if DL is flying the route ATL-PVG (DL185) with the old BZ class or the Delte One Suite (refrubished) on their olds 777-200.
According with EF there are 12 lines on J

According with Seat Guru there are only 8

May someone helps me on this?
Thanks in advance

You said that you are travelling in mid 2020, yet, you've checked EF for 10/23/2019. You are flying on Delta, yet you seem to want to make life complicated by cross-referencing seatmaps on a bunch of 3rd party websites rather than just just going directly to the source. This is very strange.

A very quick glance at delta.com for July 2020 gives your answer immediately:

And all the 777s will be upgraded by mid 2020, so there is no risk of a substitution

Forget SeatGuru. ExpertFlyer has the data directly from GIDS, which comes directly from DL, so that's what you should assume is correct. Thus, DL is currently planning to fly the older style 777 business class on your ATL-PVG flight. Of course, that could change between now and the date of the flight.

EDIT: That assumes you've selected the correct date in EF, which, as was pointed out above me, it looks like you haven't.

I've just checked recent dates... just to know if on the actual period they are flying a refurbished 777-2 or not.
I thought that f I can't tell now...less could have know for a flight 8/9 months from now.
Never flew on DL before... didn't know they show that info on the booking proccess.

I'm looking for an award redeption of a partner (Smiles)

I guess your answer clarifies me the point!! Thanks again!!

Currently they are flying the un-modified 777. But that will change before the Summer. You will get to enjoy a nice suite

Thanks LoganFlyer

I'm starting from EZE...so the first idea was AC on J through YYZ and then go down to DTW to take a DL 350-9 (DTW-PVG) but there isn't a single award available on that route. The idea of flying on the new 787-9 Dreamliner of AC was nice. But I guess it would be more simple to do EZE-ATL-PVG

Getting conflicting info: when is JNB getting new cabins? TPG says begins 10/28. Above says 11/9. Trying to book now and it seems beginning 10/28 EXCEPT 11/1 - am I misunderstanding?

Often times, the exact switch-over date can change at the last minute. Or it can be a fuzzy line with new and old planes alternating for a little while. If you're planning to fly in November, I think you should probably be prepared for either cabin and hope for the best.

Yup, I agree with the Persons that responded to your questions all ready. Hopefully by early 1st quarter 2020, all (or MOST) of the remaining 5 LR's will be refurb'd - the 5th one is due back into service within a week or 10 days. ATL-JNB legs will begin 10-28 this month leaving the last leg (being ATL-PVG) using the refurb'd interior to begin mid November (around the 16th). Delta will then need 2 more for the JFK-BOM legs that begin December 22nd of 2019. According to Delta's "buy-a-flight" screen, it will show all B777-200LR routes as the refurb'd birds flying.....unless there COULD be issues with one at anytime (maintenance, for example). But then the only aircraft that COULD be substituted would have the NEW interiors anyway (B777-200ER's, B777-200LR's, and A350-900XWB's) I guess in a extreme pinch, DL could use a A330-900neo (again all have new interiors {NEW PLANES}, just not sure if the range would work - perhaps a fuel stop would be necessary) - which is better than a cancellation right ?

B773LR, N702DN, is currently en route to HND, and then perhaps to SIN for mods?

https://flightaware.com/live/flight/N702DN

Update: according to another site, it ferried to HND as an extra section to fly stranded passengers due to the typhoon. It will fly from HND>MSP.
