mmmmmmmm.....45 days to do the interior updates. Previous conversions (2018-19) were taking around 30 days (1 month). Might this put a damper on the ATL-PVG B777-200LR (7CB) introduction that is scheduled to kick off mid November (DL needs 2 of them to run the legs). The 2nd aircraft is currently in the upgrade, but 45 days puts this AC back into use November 30th. Speaking about "pulling rabbits out of hats" ....more shifting to get this to happen on time? Next comes the new JFK-BOM service in mid December (22nd to be exact), and - another 2 need to be ready for these legs also. Lets just see how this plays out!!!

Last I saw, ATL-JNB was scheduled to get Suites starting yesterday (28 Oct). Anyone know if this happened? I did a dummy booking for tomorrow and it was showing Suites, so I'm assuming it started.

My Thanksgiving-week trip still shows Suites, so I sure hope so!

According to FR24, N708DN is scheduled to operate DL200 from ATL>JNB on November 1st. This frame hasn't been modded yet, so unless this gets swapped out, then there will not be D1 Suites on this flight!

Taking inventory on the roundtrip legs (ATL-JNB), DL is doing good if they get 50% of them with the 4 cabin interior upgrades.

That seems about right. They flew modded a/c the first three days after the announced start date of 28 Oct and have been down to every 3-4 days since. https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/dl200 My flight isn't until April, so I'm hoping almost all of them will be done by then.

The revenue flight is DL295 on an A350. N702DN is also flying that route as a shuttle flight DL9952. I guess they can't just swap it out because the 777 will continue to SIN, and they need an aircraft to fly the return.

Can’t say I’m disappointed . I dislike the larger cabin classes in the 777 retro (unless I’m in D1 )

Yup.....A350-900XWB has been used (scheduled) since the end of October (about the 28th it started). MSP-ICN (was B777-200ER) also got the "flagship" status around the same time. Other routes that moved to the B777-200ER's (to free up for the last 2 "LR" routes) are: LAX-PVG (was "LR" then a 350), LAX-HND (was "LR" then a 350) and ATL-NRT (was "LR" then a 350). Delta's creativity with all of its international aircraft's will hopefully allow them to fulfill their 2 remaining LR routes scheduled to use an upgraded "LR" aircraft by the middle of November...THIS YEAR. The ATL-PVG could use the "ER" as the range of them would work. The ATL-JNB needs to use the "LR" (currently the only DL route that needs the range of the "LR" aircraft), In a "pinch" an "ER" could be used but a fuel stop would be needed to make the destination. Passengers would not like the additional stop (which would probably add around 2 hours to the destination), which would be better than a cancellation. "LR" conversions appear to be taking longer than DL expected them to. I haven't checked Deltas' website to see if ATL-PVG upgraded interior scheduled has been moved to later this year....Next comes the new "LR" service JFK-BOM (beginning December 22, 2019) - the A350 flagship COULD make the leg, but no available (or freed up A/C are available) and using the flagship does NOT fit into Deltas' usage very well. Time will tell how all this plays out.

Delta Airlines appeared to have N710DN heading toward SIN (via NRT) on the schedule for Saturday (the 9th) and Sunday (the 10th). But, I just looked again at Flightradar24.com and DL flight 9953 has been cancelled.
