Delta's Operational move from T5 to T2/3 at LAX:
Delta has moved to: T2 and T3 with eventual connector to TBIT (note: there is currently only airside bus service to stay securely between T2 & T3, the walking connector has not been built yet.)
Where to check bags: As of January 13, 2020, non-Sky Priority customers must check their bag(s) at the terminal their flight departs from, unless their flight departs from TBIT, in which case, they must check their bag at Terminal 2. Sky priority customers can check their bag at either terminal. See this link for more information.
Date(s) of move: May 12, 2017 - May 17, 2017
Here is a helpful chart from Delta which covers all Domestic / Int'l. transfer combos (AND TOTAL TRANSFER TIMES) between T2, T3 & TBIT.
New Bus Routes will help with connections:
- Circular Airfield Bus between TBIT, T2 and T3
- Airfield Bus between T2 and T3
Bus Map
Will there be a SkyClub: Yes, there is one in each terminal. Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse will remain.
- The SkyClub in T2 opened on May 20th (Former AC Maple Leaf Lounge)

- The SkyClub in T3 opened on May 24th (Former VX Loft)

Where Will The Delta One Check In Lounge Be Located:
In T2, there is a small Delta One seating area with refreshments. An agent will escort you from the check in/lounge area through a back pathway up stairs to TSA precheck. Its a shorter walk to check-in at SkyPriority and easier if you have a carry on and don't want to drag it up a flight of stairs. 11/3/17)
Airlines joining DL in T2/3 for landside and departures:
- AeroMexico (T2)
- Virgin Atlantic (T2)
- WestJet (T3)
Landside T2 only, departures from TBIT:
- Virgin Australia
- Volaris
Landside T3 only, departures from TBIT:
- Avianca/Taca
- Copa (effective April 7)
- InterJet
Will there be secure links between T2-T3 and TBIT: Yes, the final plan is to let pax walk between all airside.

Arriving/Departing from T3 and based on the reviews not looking forward to the SkyClub there -- would prefer to head to TBIT Lounges.
Can I board the DL shuttle without a TBIT departure ticket?

Note it can take up to 20 minutes each direction depending on traffic. No BP is needed.

Whats wrong with the KE Lounge? I can also buy a refundable AA ticket and use the Qantas if necessary.

The prosecution rests. :P
(The food isn't much better - just random veggies and chips, mostly.)
The KE lounge is comfortable enough (particularly the balcony seating) and the shower facilities are excellent, so if you have to spend time in that terminal it's not awful. But if you're not departing from TBIT and/or don't desperately need a shower, going there is a complete waste of time. The Delta lounges are a far better choice - even in T3 - as long as you can find a seat. And T2 is the best of the three by far - it's actually a pretty reasonably nice experience (other than the shower plumbing being out of service).

Was just in T-3 lounge upon arrival yesterday, as I wanted to check it out. I used the restroom (men's) and it's gross. Crowded, all black tiles (which makes me feel like I can't see if they are clean or not), not enough capacity for what is needed. It's like someone revived the old SFO Sky Club restroom.
Agree that the food offerings, given what they are working with, are nice. Staff were friendly.

On topic - I layed over in LAX last weekend en route to Sydney (DL41) and had a long layover. Showers in T2 are still out of commission so we went to KE lounge to clean up before the long leg. Lounge is pretty terrible but like others have said the showers are quite nice. Only took about 10 minutes to ride over on the bus, too. From SC to KE lounge was probably a 20 min journey - longest part is walk from bus to KE lounge.

Domestic Flights at TBIT???
Was looking at this flight and saw that it is departing from Gate 133 in TBIT but DL list T2. Has anyone ever seen a DL domestic flight arrive or depart from TBIT? I didn't even think TBIT could handle domestic flights.
