If you click on the upgrade eligibility link for fights after the cut off date (when DL says you are no longer eligible for the upgrade) it will say not upgradeable. (Upgrade EligibilityxDL424 - JFK to LAX: Not Upgrade Eligible)
I was referring to this page: http://www.delta.com/content/www/en_...tificates.html

We can hope that mileage upgrades will actually become available on these routes, but we can expect that DL will simply remove the "X" from the grid, or more likely continue to falsely advertise the option without changing anything.

Well yeah mile upgrades are "available" on those routes, except you'll never clear since there is never any advance inventory. So yes while you can waitlist, it is false advertising in that you can't actually get the upgrade confirmed.

Anyway, no matter how many refills you get on a soda, it's not humanly possible to drink enough in one sitting to drink enough soda that you come out ahead on the transaction.
I think there's some ambiguity here.

If you're about to leave, get one last refill and drink it, that's fine.

If you get a refill and leave it, that's waste.

If you take it with you (as some places welcome you to do), that's also fine.

Guessing UA service up front was excellent!

Stockholder impressions of their F catering vs. DL?

Maybe he bought one of the glitch fares Thursday in FC to HNL and headed to the airport immediately just in case DL would change its mind (as he had hoped would happen to others who were able to purchase the glitch tickets). A nice vacation for almost free at the expense of DL shareholders.....

Question

Im a little late to the game here. Question, I am a Platinum and I fly lax-jfk once a month and up until now upgraded 80% of the time. With the new changes, I can't use the new Regional Upgrades for this route? SW upgrades are gone??

What is going to be the best way to secure upgrades after march 1 2014?

Thanks!!!

Only options are
1) To route via another hub where the routes still have complimentary upgrades instead of going nonstop
2) Upgrade with miles (if there's availability)
3) Buy a BE ticket

Another option...

If you haven't yet chosen your 2014 CB, you can choose SWU's and apply them to K+ fares. However, you must select this option prior to 3/1/14. Note that even DM's who choose after 3/1 only get 4 GMU's, 2 rt's for this route. There will be lots of Medallion company in the back of this bus.

If indeed he did, then he should have no business bashing others who behave like him.
To bubba-I bought a $650 USA-India ticket today. Feel free to rant how I am not a 'valued customer'.
I admit it.

Can I ask how/where and on what airline you found such a deal?
