Does DL allow routing to Australia via ICN?
If so, then I could trade a AA award in J on QF for a DL award on KE.

From YVR? I am not sure about that but, I don't see it as a big issue.

But what I am sure is an issue is *ahem* availability.

For a non-FT'er trying to use the calendar that would be 2 Round trips BUR-PDX.....for DHalltheway it = 10 J tix.

Availability is good on QF.
On KE there should be quite a bit of O space (but let's hope that the dates I want aren't embargoed)

allow me to add some fuel to the fire

on dl metal, even current pricing is (kinda) fare-based. Granted, it is currently constrained by the published award charts, but it's not all that uncommon to see a 325K miles J ticket when the revenue ticket is give or take $3500...

The irrational award engine might not be all that irrational after all.

The partners have been 'the glitch' which DL is (potentially) trying to fix - and it wouldn't be too difficult to implement...

Huh? When did you last see a $1000 RT biz fare TATL or $1200 RT for biz TPAC?

Oh I didn't - but how impossible are these to find on DL metal?

that's why I am referring to it as 'glitch' - basically, the extremely-good-low-tier-price value is not what DL intends for us to get out of our miles... and a switch to revenue-based pricing would make partner awards shoot up in price in line with dl-metal awards... (poor to terrible value)

No doubt you are good at finding low awards, but you found availability for dates that work for you, and you know when you will be free to travel int'l TEN times in the next 330 days?

Wow.

And that friend might come with benefits.
And where there are benefits, us FTers are very good at using them.

I dunno, it appears to be waning. Maybe TLedge can post some more top secret documents to get this train wreck back on track.

Perhaps for CX co-branded cards, I'm not sure. They don't seem to give away a lot of signup bonuses here, but the special offers seem to be more frequent on CCs.

I have a Citibank card that gives me DL miles but it's not a co-brand, you can get lots of different kinds of FF miles on it.
